I was recently thinking about purchasing Spirit Guard Udyr, as I have been playing him the most jungle and the default is very outdated. Then I realized that there isn't going to be feral flare in season five. So what do you think? Should I buy the skin or should I wait until season 5 and see if Udyr is still viable?
Udyr is very viable without feral. he's quite a strong early ganker and excellent duelist
Honestly, even now, you can just buy spirit stone and then build actual items (trinity force, spirit visage, randuins...really anything, he works well with almost anything). I wouldn't be too worried about itemization on Udyr, he's probably the most adaptable champion in the game.
Udyr doesn't always need to build feral flare, he can do very well with elder lizard as well. I wouldn't be too worried about him, as others have said, he is very adaptable.
you're kidding right? Flare is good on Udyr because of the attack speed, not the stacks (although those are nice too). The new season has an even better attack speed jungle item, plus you don't have to sit in the jungle for the first 15 minutes of the game. The Godyr is about to come out like never before
