There are a lot of champions I don't feel like are really weak, but they just aren't fun to play like Galio, Sivir, Nunu, and champions like that. There are 133 champs but it really only feels like 50ish because most of them just aren't viable, or aren't fun. Maybe other people have a different expireince but thats what I see.

Zielmann2 votesTank galio does get boring, because you can't 1-shot their carries with your ult :P His moderate damage makes it difficult for him to really do much, and he's not enough of a threat without the ult to really draw any focus to him.
To me, mage Galio has always been the better bet (can go visage in there too, but glass cannon was a riot). His damage from Q and even E is enough to give him presence with the ult down. He can heal-tank with the W incredibly well, and the ult can be devastating. Basically, everything I do actually starts to feel more impactful, so it's really not boring, even if he is still a bit one-dimensional.
Obeify1 votesIll give him another try. My favorite part about him was first pucking him, then watching the entire enemy team pick AD so I just baited them into doing no damage into Armor.
Zielmann1 votesOnly problem is if their AD champs aren't potatoes and realize they should get Executioner's calling against you. The application of grievous wounds with that item is just way too binary right now, i think.

Because Garen is great at shutting down carries, and it's very hard to kite him. Even if you think he's more enjoyable, other people think Garen would be more fun and play him instead. They are two different champions that have the same job but just have different styles of doing it. They don't really do it better, and thinking a champion is more fun is an opinion, not a fact.

Darius isn't as fast, and garen arguably has better engage. They are two different champions, that do their jobs differently than eachother.
