Let's be real: Elo Hell is real.

I am getting stuck with just horrible teams! I mean, this is stupid. I get one team that's okay and works together. The next one they fight and argue before we even pick the champs. I always last of next last pick meaning I have to be support or adc. Most support meaning I can't carry or have any impact on winning game. Why? Because the top will go AFK which has happned the last 4 losses. They just quit. Then like the last game the jg can't jg. Or lately I get a weird adc choice like Vel . This is not right, I have literally am getting no chance to win. I am trying my ass off playing custom games 1 vs 2 to improve. And then I get stuck with this crap. Something has to change quick because no one can carry with teams like this.

I'm a Plat 4 Mid/Support main and I can confirm that ELO Hell exists. Unfortunately, ELO Hell is in every ELO until you get to Master most likely.

It's been a while since I been in Bronze, but if I recall; there were a lot more AFK's and Trolls in that ELO than any other ELO. This is most likely having to do with people down in Bronze not caring. Simply put, most of them don't play this game to get better.

It's not just Bronze through, Platinum is your most toxic ELO. In relation to "CHAT BANS" , "RANKED RESTRICTION" and "PERMA BANS"; Platinum has the highest. So every game, that top lane Malphite is going to criticize every single mistake you make in game. Let's say you're up 15-5 - enemy ashe gets a lucky double kill making it 15-7 and now your Jg Xin Zhao is typing in ALL CHAT "GG randoms threw the game" and "report bot lane, intentionally feeding.".

Diamond most likely you will find someone that may be Bronze/SIlver/Gold but was boosted up there because they think they deserve it.

But I can tell you, if you are stuck in a specific ELO, you are there for a reason. You need to learn the game and you can carry yourself out of any ELO. The only reason you are still Bronze, is the fact that you gave up because you think it's your teammates holding you back; is the reason you are still there. The only thing holding you in BRONZE ELO HELL is yourself.

We as a collective in bronze tend to think we're better than we actually are, and are quick to criticize others for not doing as well, and are really easy to put on tilt. The reality is most of use have horrible win rates, and abysmal KDAs.

I think most of us lack basic foundations such as developing situational item builds, warding period,Map awareness, and exactly what your job is as the role you picked as well as where you should be in skirmishes. As someone who started in B5 and is now in promos for S5, I can say that if you start getting better at these, you WILL carry your team and yourself. Also pick a couple champs and know the ins and outs with them. Also know your match ups. Stay calm and encourage your team to help out when you see a weakenss. You have to be the one that pings blatant ganks when your teammate clearly isn't looking at the minimap. It's a battle, but once it clicks for you, wins pour in... until you hit your next skill wall.

I know you think I'm just looking for ammo to attack you with but I'm genuinely trying to help you.

If elo hell is real why does every example of it seem to exist in every rank?

Is there anything not in elo hell? Or is ranked elo hell?

EndlessSorcerer10/13/2015, 6:29:23 PM2 votes

ELO Hell is the rank at which you are no longer better than your opponents.

In other words, it is the rank a player belongs to skill-wise.

I find it unrealistic that most of your games have players on tilt before the match starts. I assume you started in B5, as did I. However you've played almost double the number of ranked games i have and are at B5, 5 LP, and I'm at B1 100LP. You may say it sounds unrealistic, but it's true. You say you're doing all those things, but the numbers say otherwise. Put it to you like this. You should be at such a low MMR you should win a lane with ease if you're as good as you actually think you are. you play main jung and support. Two really good roles to carry a team with. You should be able to snowball the adc or whoever's the best player on the team with those roles. The worse you do the worse players you get paired with. The better you do the better the players you get paired with until you hit your wall.

what am I doing?

Lyless10/13/2015, 7:20:29 PM1 votes

The worse to try and improve is to stick them with teams who troll for fun or have no clue what they are doing.

Yes elo hell is real... to an extent Now, there is examples of elo hell in EVERY elo, besides master+ What it is, is you "may be" consistently preforming better than your peers in said elo, however... Not to such an extent that you can single handedly carry your games. Think about it like this, if you want to improve a tier, you have to be playing 2 tiers at least better than what you are playing now. However EVERYBODY has to go through this, not just YOU. Quit babying yourself and pretending that "ONLY THE LUCKY" get to the high elos. Cause I dare you to play against me in ANY lane, i will sh*t on you. Don't wanna be the guy who is like "ur bad u bronze 5 skrub, 1v1 me n00b" but this guy needs a wake up call.
