Footage of LoL Summoners Customization?

Hello! I have been playing League since closed beta, I purchased the game as a physical disc a few years back (09?) I remember seeing a video put out by Riot back during beta that was detailing planned game features. One of those features would've been having a Summoner avatar, that would've been customizable (hats, weapons etc.) The items you equipped your avatar with would function much like runes/masteries and give you an in game buff. Does anyone else remember this, or can anyone find that video? It looked super cheesy, but it would be cool to watch that old video again.
