Taric Skin Ideas

Hello!

I wanted to have a discussion/solicit ideas about/for Taric skins.

Taric has had one skin since his rework was released (Pool Party Taric).

In my opinion, he would fit into these predicting skin lines.

  • Project
  • Debonair
  • Roleplaying/D&D
  • Star Guardian
  • Warden

Although he isn’t as popular as other champs, I think he could have a really cool solo skin too (Gun Goddess MF style).

Rune Master Taric Similar to Elementalist Lux, where you can change his color and effects. I picture he would have rose gold, gold or silver armor.

Lore could be that he is a nomad that finds lesser runes throughout runeterra, and adorns his armor and weapon with them. Instead of gems (old Taric) and crystallized starlight (new Taric), he could be using weaker versions of the world runes. If he’s in a solo lane, or heals/shields himself more often, maybe the runes taint him at a certain level, and this causes his armor and abilities to look more corrupted. If he’s in a duo/or he uses his skills on others often, he would have a more ascended look to him.

He is one of my favorite champs, and I’m bummed that he hasn’t seen anything in quite a while.

Thoughts?

Here we go:

  • Cosmic/Celestial as in the concept that you can easily find around.
  • Topaz/Guardian of the Sand as a golden armored Taric with maybe a helm and more plated armor.
  • Star Guardian.
  • Cleric for the RP.
  • Rune Warden taric would be pretty awesome too.

I think Star Guardian is a given for Taric eventually, but this year it's pretty likely that we'll be getting Xayah and Rakan as the team ADC/support duo. Rakan would already be the resident pretty boy of the magical girl team; I doubt there would be two (and besides, we want Taric to take the outrageous beauty boy spot for himself on his own Star Guardian team one day. Maybe even with a legendary skin).

I don't think PROJECT fits him particularly well.

I also heavily dislike the Warden skin line. I think it's incredibly dull and uninspired. It's generic armor with no depth or flavor to it.

Star Guardian is a must though. It's a travesty he hasn't gotten that skin yet. Debonair is also a must, so he can be dapper alongside Ezreal.
