I think i can sacrifice 10-20 ping if it means 50% of usa will be playable with instead of complaining about lag. The new location should mean less lag spikes for people (especially in ranked) so i dont see the big deal on the west getting such a small spike. Ranked might be less laggy for most now. look forward to it.

im pretty sure riot has the resources and money to have 2 servers. which would be better in my opinion, fair all around.

I was getting anywhere from +40 to +70 ping during the test. Most of California is near or above 100, Hawaii is unplayable, Alaska is barely any better. Make no mistake, the East Coast and Midwest just decided to screw the rest of the US over because they didn't want queue times to be slightly longer.

I'm pretty pissed that Riot didn't see the obvious solution of using the same system Dota or LoL China uses, which is multiple, easily switchable servers. Riot easily has the capability to do this. Odds are I'm still going to be pissed on this one for years to come.

I agree as a EUW player, if it involves people getting HALF of the ping while others getting more 5-15ish ping I don't see the problem

I live in New England, but I'm still getting 120 ping, are all the games on the east coast being handled by the moved server?

I'm not currently home right now; however I live on the west coast, literally as far west as you can get other than like, Alaska and Hawaii haha. I used to get around 30-40 ping, which honestly was really easy to deal with, and it only spiked when my family used the internet. I'm concerned now that, even if I wait until around 10:30-11:00 P.M., which is when everyone in my family is asleep and I get the internet to myself, that my ping will still be in the upper 90's-100's, which I have indeed dealt with before and it is NOT fun. Look, east coast, I'm truly sorry you've had to deal with what you have had to deal with. I really am. But I feel like what they have just done is caused the people living in places such as: Washington, California, Oregon, etc, to literally experience the same problems you are dealing with now, and believe me when I say that I've already dealt with these before back when I was stupid enough to try Skyping with my friends as well as play the game at the same time. Now, there's not even a possibility of Skyping with them while I play EVER again because that will just further increase my ping, and I'll end up averaging about 150-200 ping every single game I play regardless. I don't feel like this was a perfect solution, but I can deal with it for a little while. However, assuming I'm right and my ping has become truly outrageous, then I can't say I'll be playing this game a whole lot longer (I love to spectate, I just mean I won't ACTUALLY PLAY) due to how frustrating that can be.
