Why it would be a good idea to have the ability to report someone during champion select.
Picture this; Autofill sends some toxic Riven One-Trick to support role, and your top doesn't want to give up their role because they FINALLY got their preferred role after being autofilled like six times themselves. You go to their summoner page on OP.gg and see that they have a plethora of 20 minute games with 0-3 kills and 10+ deaths, likely all from this same situation. So this Riven, who likely has 'Riven' somewhere in their name, says 'well time to just int then lmao' and then locks in Riven support and runs it down mid, causing you to lose your promos for the third time this week. Bummer, man. If only there was a way to help weed out this sort of problem...
Aside from removing autofill, of course. Mayhaps implement a 3-role queue system. Add the ability to have one free dodge every 24 hours, maybe reduced in cooldown by how many games you play to completion, with more points being awarded for games that you don't surrender/that you win. And, of course, the theme of this topic; The ability to report people before the game starts. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and forcing someone to slog through 20+ minutes with someone so insanely toxic only spreads the cancer through the community like a plague. Having the power to report and potentially punish someone like this before they have a chance to ruin your gameplay experience would be just one more step towards a good, healthy, sportsmanlike community. A pipe dream, maybe, but one can dream.
Please feel free to input anything you think might be constructive toward resolving the issue of toxic one-tricks and general pre-game toxicity.
