Question for people who smurf
Why do you do it? Do you do it just to get another account to 30? Do you do it to pick on new players to make yourself feel good. Do you do it to try to help new players?

My friend did it for me when I first started and he helped me a ton. I can see it as a fun way when you get stuck in elo hell, get tired of your main, want to start over, and sometimes for easier games.
My account's normal MMR is so high if I play with my friends its always horrible. And sometimes you want to work on new champs and learn lanes. Maybe see if you got lucky or actually belong at your elo by carrying yourself back up.
Kex~
All the obvious ones do it to shit on other players in the game and/or verbally harass people without hurting their main account. The ones that aren't obvious are probably the ones with good or neutral intentions.
I'll get this out of the way right now. Yes, we really enjoy trashing on low elo players sometimes. Its really fun when you 1v2 a bot lane as Vayne and everyone is on your dick like, "OMG YOU'RE SO FUCKING GOOD.", "IS THAT GOSU?!".
Other than that, I smurf to play with low elo friends sometimes, practice champions that we have no idea how to play, or just do something to pass time. Once you get into higher ELOs you stop caring about the meta and understand the game enough to where Jungle Heimerdinger is good (if you practice it) in lower ELOs. Its really refreshing when you end up stomping because you get a pentakill as Katarina because the enemy team want to try and baron at 50% hp.
Now, yes there are people that are smurfs that are assholes. When they "outplay" you, and they will "outplay" you. Your day is now going to become utter shit, they will criticise everything you do, every item you buy, every ward you place.
I don't do that, I personally smurf to make friends with low elo players that have potential, add them, and teach them the game.
i have a smurf that ive only played a few games on, i honestly just keep it in case something crazy happens and then i can start over, ya know? But ive been playing since season one and havent even been suspended or anything so i think im alright.
