Snowdown this year

Honestly I think the snowdown this year is the best it has ever been before, but maybe just slightly better than season 4's (I got my firefang warwick that year!). Honestly, the poro snax buff thingys are just so cool... And the new hextech chest system is really awesome as well... Does anyone know if you can get the chests without spending RP?
