[Question] The upcoming changes to the Client!

Hi! Back before the changes to the client were announced I spoke (more of shouted out to) a Rioter during a community event (RiotVsCommunity.Hosted by SkillFactory) and I mentioned how it would be cool to be able to change the in-game options without actually having to be in game. And the Rioter (I can't remember who) said "That's sounds like a great idea! I'll be sure to bring it up with the team :)"

My reason for this was : I can't play Howling Abyss because whenever a "blizzard" comes (usually when you're destroying a tower) my frames get super laggy like 12 fps or less. My only way to fix this would be to turn my effects option lower - or minimum., But I like to play with full effects on Summoner's Rift so changing the options between playing the map modes would basically require for me to possibly miss a lvl 1 fight or even minion spawn while I wait for the changed settings to load. It would be alot easier if I could just change the in-game settings without actually having to start a game (I was really surprised this didn't already exist).

I do hope that my suggestion comes through with these changes to the Client (I'm aware that Riot is first focusing on visual changes). ^^

Sounds more like howling abyss needs to be optimized. It starts getting jumpy during any fights (which is 80% of ARAM), yet I run flawlessly on the rift no matter what's happening.

As a PBE tester, I'm sorry to say that for the time being there aren't really any new options on the updated client. It functions pretty much the same as the old one, it just looks different. Other than the visuals. the changes they have made are mostly under the hood.

I'm sure, in time, they will start implementing features like this, though. Don't worry, just got to be patient. Soon™, ya know.
