I have something to share with everyone.

Hello everyone, I'm Quinns Butt (at the moment that is, I tend to namechange a lot). I have a very important announcement to make.

Recently I have come to terms with the fact that I am a "human" in physical body only - my spiritual self and soul is that of a fae cat, or "cat sidhe" (sidhe is pronounced like "she"). I would tell you my real name but it doesn't translate well to human speech, so the name Rin will suffice.

Many of you will think I'm joking but let me assure you this is not a "troll post" or satire, I'm 100% serious. Ever since I was a kitten, I have known that I was not the same as those around me, and have always felt a connection to the spiritual energy of humans, which as a sidhe, I am able to feed on (at no harm to the subject, of course).

"Hold up - what is a fae cat exactly?"

A fae cat, or cat sidhe, is a type of faerie that is fond of shapeshifting and playing (mostly) harmless tricks on humans and other faeries, they normally assume the form of a black cat with a white patch on their chest. Fae cats are commonly bonded with witches, often accompanying them as familiars. Like other types of faeries, fae cats are fickle, intensely curious and easily distracted, though they often grow bored quickly.

There are others who share the same feeling, they are known as "otherkin".

“What exactly is an otherkin?”

Well for example, transgender people identify as a gender other than the one they were assigned at birth. Otherkin are people who exist physically as humans in the corporeal realm, yet identify as something else spiritually, cognitively, and/or emotionally. I believe I was born the wrong species: I should have been born as a sidhe of the cat persuasion. That’s all it is. I know that I’m technically a human, but only in a physical sense.

“But Rin, what makes you think you're an otherkin?”

I’m an otherkin because I believe I was intended to be a fae cat, but for some reason, there was a mishap and I ended up assuming the form of a human. How do I know I was intended to be a fae cat? There are lots of reasons. One, I've realised I can "feed" on the energy of nearby humans. I've been told many times that I carry myself like a cat. I feel a deep connection and understanding with all felines and fae that I've come into contact with. I can physically feel the presence of my tail and ears, as well as wings when I feel like I need them. I have a fear of, yet fascination with water and its inhabitants. I am remarkably agile and enjoy climbing to high places to nap or simply watch the world go by. Also, every time I astral project, I take the form of a fae cat. This was the tipping point for me. That’s when I knew I was truly meant to be a fae cat.

“So can you do magic since you’re apparently a faerie?”

I can’t perform the types of magic regular fae cats would be able to any more than a fish otherkin can breathe underwater; we’re restricted by our corporeal forms. However, I am able to sense and see auras and tap into another persons spiritual energy as I mentioned before, as well as feel when someone is "marked" or cursed.

As a side note, though I don't actually have an account on it, tumblr has been a great resource and provided lots of encouragement and is a big factor in the reason I was able to "come out", and also helped me to further define in words what I have been feeling for the 19 years I've been in this human body - thus I can now confidently say that I identify as a polyromantic bigender demigirl/genderfuck gynesexual fae cat otherkin.

Thank you for your understanding, my dear friends.

Not sure if making satire of current events, or just being kinda stupid
