Whine Post

This shit has me in tears. The community here is so ungodly toxic and hateful and it hurts. Today I have been struggling to get out of bronze elo as usual, and had some great games, followed by a series of horrid ones. Purposeful feeders, trolls, 2 afks, and it's getting worse by the game.

My last game I got stuck jungle because last pick "omg don't make me jungle it's my worst lane ever", so I picked a fairly decent jungle for me, Pantheon. The opposing team had a Shaco jungler that outplayed everyone at every turn, and by my level 5, he was already level 8. I couldn't catch up to him in farm, I had nowhere near the mobility he had, and soon he was just camping my jungle. There was literally nothing I could do, and no communication from the lanes when there was an MIA, and the "omg don't make me jungle" kid was being raped by Heimerdinger.

Do I get any support? Do I get any positive communication? Absolutely not. Apparently to these people, being toxic is the way to win games, so not only did my mid continually try to steal my buffs with the "don't worry I'll carry" excuse, but my bot lane kept pointing out how Shaco was good and I was horrible, and mixing "ugh" and "you're so bad" in amongst the normal toxic bull.

Everyone says "Mute them, it makes it easier". No, it doesn't. Then you go from a scrap of communication here and there to dead silence. You go from having a team to being alone. The mute button should never be the solution. But after today's smorgasbord of horrid games, I broke down in tears, cussed them out, and left. There was nothing I could do without a team to do it with, and this team didn't give 2 shits about winning as much as they cared about making sure I knew I was inept and inadequate and nothing was even remotely their fault about the game.

My mutes probably reach in the thousands, and my ignore list has at least 150 people on it from last season alone. This community is the worst out of all the communities I've ever been a part of, and I've been gaming for over 20 years. This "nice player" initiative only partially works. But most people don't give a crap about a free skin or anything like that. They care more about acting like a bunch of rage-fueled kindergartners than they do about winning or developing a good team.

My goal this season was Gold 5 in solo queue, because given my ranked play with certain champs and roles, I was doing very well, and could hold my own against golds on a regular basis in premades. But so far, I'm stuck at just below 50% win rate and holding, because of people like I had last game.

+1 for honest title. Also I understand, it's main reason I don't do Pvp outside of ARAM much because there is more pressure than that of the game. Glad you also see the problem with muting them as well, but if communicating with them fails muting may not be so bad. Regardless: I have yet to put people. A few of the ragers I encountered I actually chatted with and calmed down, and a few others were too funny to mute. But this is a big problem. The toxic community just stresses people out and encourages them to hide or become toxic as well.

Best advice I can give is always try to play with people you know are nice, polite, and considerate. I just Add all the nice and social people and after awhile I tend to always have at least 5-6 online

It's a shame this is the state of things, but if you have suggestions to riot that are not TOO extreme I encourage you to share it with them. Best of luck in your future games though

You may want to watch that, assuming you've calmed down by this point.

I can't say I agree with all of your OS... You Did say it was a whine post haha No need for me to point out which parts I disagree with...Mainly, although I think Riot is trying Very hard not only to get rid of Toxic behavior they are Trying to Very hard to reform people (to much reform ?? )....I Voted No not doing enough.

I do however feel your pain :)) Helping a jungler ( or anyone) early, can change the game...helping them later can just be fun and nice... Not helping and blaming anyone for any One thing is never going to help...Sorry you had to go threw a very painful game...I wish you Luck and some great games in the future !!!

PS: After rereading I'd like to take the opportunity to point out to some others who will read this later....The Mute button is not the "I can be a complete Jerk button" because it seems that a lot of nasty people use that as an excuse to do anything..( MY whine post :))

Good Luck and if you make it to Gold it'd be great if you pulled this thread out and say so :P
