Bronze Woes

I just want to start of by saying I started playing league of legend last year during the pre season for season 5 (around Sion's rework release). League of Legends is my first moba game ever and prior I was just a filthy casual video gameplayer. I am currently trying to escape Bronze.

TL;DR Bronze players have a habit of i lost because of everyone except me. Or do the samething over and over expecting different results.

I watch a lot of streams and videos as i want to get better and leave bronze but I fall back into bad habits and make bad choices. But sometimes broze is depressing. I have been in games where a Darius was afk the first 5 minutes, then constanly try to fight his enemy laner, alone, and lose everytime. He had item 1055 item 1001 and some pots and ran in to fight his opponent with 2 complete items over and over then say his opponent was hacking. What also pissed me off about that game is that we, his team, kept telling him to stop not being toxic nor insulting him but he doesn't listen and not surprisingly we lost.

I recently had a game where and enemy darius ran into me as a full hp sejuani, a low health yasuo and an ekko to try to kill yas. He ran into 3 v 1, and expected to win. Yasuo still had his ult by the way. He died, like instantly and was complaining and in chat i was like "You ran into a 3v1, what did you expect?"

This is another thing i admit to being guilty of. But bronze players almost never leave thier lanes. I have seen games where I as the top laner last my first trade and got killed. And I acknowledge the fact that I had to play safe and farm under turret. Well their jungler came and tower dove me over and over and when we lost the game they put all their blame on me. Even though I pinged for help so many times after my first death.

BAD junglers. This is a very common problem in bronze (and probly other tiers) In no less than 90% of games seen cases where the mid laner is getting dove by the enemy laner and the jungler and his jungler is at wolves or raptors and is like "ummm I would help you, but this camp is more important than your life and towers". I have had game where i am being chased and i run to my enemy jungler and he choses to do his camp instead of help me and go in AFTER I and kill the enemy.

I have seen games where the top laner wins his lane, but never leaves top (Nasus players are extremely guilty of this). They stay top lane all game while we losing teamfights because it's 4 v 5. and when we lose it's our fault for feeding.

I have seen MANY games where we weren't grouped, one person recalled and then another player on our team, initiates a 4 v 5 fight and then when we lose, blame the person who recalled. He blames the person for us losing the fight after he engages KNOWING one person recalled or wasn't with us.

This one I am also guilty of. You have the players who are behind and build all damage choosing to build no tank because they have the thought "oh if i finish this item i will start winning duhrr"

I once had a game where a teammate wanted us to lose second tier and inhibitor turrets to get dragon. And i kid you not, he seriouly told me, that turrets dont win games, dragon does, and any team that loses with more dragons their opponents just sucks.

Oh and i can't forget this game. I was TahmKench supporting a Jinx . And I dont mean to judge, but he was a terrible player. When he was losing trades to the enemy Varus , I would eat him to save him and try t run to safety only for him to jump out, and go back into to combat to die. Same game, the jinx's life was low, and I saw varus readying his q so i ate the jinx, and after varus shot his Q, he literally jumped out of my mouth into his q. When i asked him WHYYYYYeee he said "stfu i don't need your help"

People say bronze is Hell on Earth, but really I found it to be heaven. Generally getting out of bronze is a matter of self carry, picking junglers/toplaners/mids that can carry. Honestly I got placed B3 this season at the start, and literally played nothing but irelia/rengar/yasuo and am now in S1 trying to hit G5 by the end of the month. Most people would tell you that you're bad and need to get better, and we all d have room to improve, but if you are truly better than your teammates then the problem is your mentality that in bronze league is any kind of team game. Getting out of bronze is a matter of finding an overpowered champion, muting your team, and abusing splitpush, abusing items that are overtuned, play about 3 strong champions and hope they aren't banned. Play Leona support. Play whatever wins lane, anything that wins lane in our elos can win games because people don't group well yet and enough early pressure can tilt and discourage anyone from trying to make a comeback. WARD WARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARDWARD. For only yourself if nothing else. Don't play tanks unless your duo can carry.

  1. Learn how to oneshot with Rengar. I one-trick-pony this champion, and learning when to make picks and when to teamfight is key to a better understanding of the game in general. You can splitpush with him.
  2. Diana is absurdly strong with 3+ items while being tanky.
  3. Fizz insanely broken, but also a popular ban.
  4. Fiora very strong as a solo lane, has minimal counters outside of malphite. currently banworthy
  5. Ahri probably safest mage of all, if people bitch about them on the boards they're strong.
  6. Irelia My main... absolutely broken. Carries games incredibly well if you can hit trinity around 13 minutes. great roam potential, Counters rengar if picked instead of an adc (im not kidding, they do it in challenger) High damage/mobility, while being tanky af.
  7. Yorick sleeper OP. No counters, can 1v2 at tear of the goddess. A win lane/ lose game champion. Splitpush like a god and win early.
  8. Evelynn Mained her back in Season 4. Pink wards are extinct until Silver 3, focus on snowballing early leads, you hardly need to spend time in the jungle.
  9. Riven will carry you out of anything until gold. Watch BoxBox/Best Riven NA/Faker/Wingsofdeathx. A good riven player can solo carry most games.
  10. Katarina easy to play. Reset Queen
  11. Akali less overpowered than she used to be. Reset Princess
  12. Khazix pick him and just camp bottom lane. Reset King
  13. MasterYi Very fragile, but with (new feral flare) devourer, he is strong this patch after his bugfixes. Reset Prince 14.Tryndamere Tryndawin, Windamere, Crit god and splitpush nightmare. FREELO.

tl;dr Mute your team Pick overpowered carry that wins lane Ward objectives Splitpush GG
