I don't know you right. anything you say its just words. how could people get offended by words by other players. just finish the game and move on. its not like there putting there hands on you. when i see people complaining about other players saying things it just doesn't make any cense.
Because words mean things, and some words carry hatred in the very fiber of what they are. If you can't respect the fact that words carry very specific connotations, then you shouldn't be using them to begin with. Furthermore, the "I'm at home, you're at home, don't be offended" argument is just plain ignorant because you know very well that you specifically choose your words to put down or insult other people. You are deliberately using the language you choose to elicit a very specific reaction, and any claims otherwise and this claim that people shouldn't be offended by your offensive language is just absolutely stupid. Instead of telling people not to be offended, how about you stop being nasty to people and pick your words more carefully?
The right question isn't "Why do people get offended by words."
The right question is "What makes people think that shit talking behind a screen makes someone a big man?"
If words don't make any of us feel anything, we wouldn't be reading books, watching movies, or listening to music.

Riot bans for flaming because flamers are like whiny little dogs that bark too much that every hates. You irritate people trying to play the game with your incessant prattle, and Riot removes you so you will cease to be an irritant. It is really as simple as that.
In my case you don't hurt my feelings, you frustrate me because you are decreasing my chances to win while acting like a spoiled brat. I report so other people won't have to deal with the person, not for any sense of revenge.
