Question and thoughts about upcoming "Random Summoner Icon Gift"

I know they confirmed it's happening and a list of available icons will be released at a later time; but as someone who really enjoys collecting icons and skins, it's eating away at me. Although there are a few icons I dont have that I wish I could get (and this may be the chance) there are some I have that are super rare and it would be kind of disappointing to see everyone getting it now a few years later. What are your guys thoughts on this and do you think some icons need to be off limits such as the Season 2 Wold championship Icon (Riven's sword, which could only be obtained by entering a code online that was given out during the stream)? Tell me how you guys feel about it :D
