Serious Question: Long post that may decide the faith of League of Legends and it's Community

I know you all don't wanna go through a long, boring post, so I'll leave a TL;DR at the end. I just really have something I want to ask. Something so serious it could net me millions of down votes if I'm not careful how I phrase it. It's something very fragile and could step on thousands of feelings, and I want to come out as gentle and polite as possible. I don't want to be brash, I don't want to be rude and I don't want to come off as an a-hole. I need you all to stay very attentive and take what's about to come with a grain of salt. Promise me that you won't take anything too personal and come at me with pitch forks and torches. I know that this may seem like an obvious question and may, in turn, send you through a spiraling amount of emotions, but please, do answer seriously. The question I'm about to ask is of utmost importance and I would like serious answers only.
