I am working on trying to let kills go to the adc. I want the enemy to die, but I know getting thresh fed as support won't necessarily make me 1v5 diving them under their turret very easy.

except that 150 extra g would have been exactly what I needed to get a bf sword on the first back. Instead now I have to settle for a pickaxe instead, and give up lane and kill pressure because i have 25 less ad, which is HUGE early. If I wasn't going to get the kill for whatever reason, im totally fine with you taking it, better that gold goes to somebody than to no one. But for the love of god, when the adc can get the kill, give him the fucking kill.

He'll be a lot stronger with the extra gold than you will, which translates to a bigger advantage in lane which translates into more kills and an easier win.

I did put "accidentally."

That 150 gold also translates to about two minion waves, and if your support is doing their job you should be safe enough to do so. Your job is to farm and snowball, but you should be able to do this even if your lane opponent and you both go 0/0/0 for twenty minutes. CS and surviving takes priority over kills.

I have seen too many "guaranteed" kills slip away due to poor mechanics. I go ham until somebody dies. If I get fb then that means their mid/jg/top doesn't. That's a team win and I'm all about the team advantages. I don't aim to get the kills but I certainly don't feel bad when I do. What fb on the support means for me is the entire bottom of the map has vision extremely early. That benefits you, me, the jungle, and mid. It also gives us dragon control. That BF on you might pay off or it might not, I have no idea how good you are, if you main ADC, if you are tilting, etc.

Just something to think about the next time you don't get the last hit in.

1600+2450+2800+2450+2100+1275+250 = 12925 gold + all those pots and early wards + pinks I had to buy

Might replace Talisman with a righteous glory even, if I have to damage soak more than what those items allow me to which is even more gold sank into it. Yeah it is cheaper than your full build, but mine lets you get the most out of yours >:(

for some reason i always have trouble not stealing kills with Thresh I dont know what it is but I always either throw the hook 1sec too late thus stealing the kill, or I flay at an inappropriate time thinking itll pull the champ back for someone to kill them but I end up taking it instead....my gf yelled at me one game because I had more kills than her...she was playing jinx too

Honestly, as a support player, I feel it's better for the support to get the first kill. This equates to better vision control which means your ADC can be safer in their plays to get the following kills.

Hm, I guess more vision would be nice then but I still think getting a BF first back is far more advantageous. Just buy 2 greens until you can afford sightstone. Can also ask your ADC to buy a green as well, helps a lot in terms of vision

I typically buy my ward load if I don't get SS. But aside from that, it also allows for greater utility, which early game, is stronger than damage. For instance, mobi boots vs potato sacks means you can go all the way up rive to ward, helping mid out by warding and being back in botlane quicker. Or earlier Aegis for our tanky tanks goes a long way in lane.

Also, obligatory: adc's never ward.

Except that the zone from a BF Caitlyn will win you your lane. With the BF they'll be able to survive just fine if you roam to mid as well. BF is far stronger early game than you getting mobis or a sightstone, and if you deny this, you might need to play more adc.

That's why you ask them to, and the Gold+ ones I play with actually do. Try raising your MMR a little (if you're plat or something then idk what to say lol)

I'm not denying the effectiveness of a B.F. Sword vs Pickaxe, all I'm saying is that if I accidentally take the kill, it's no where near wasted (especially if the ADC didn't have a chance getting it and it wasn't worth the risk) 99% of the time, they get an assist, and if they don't then they probably don't have the right to the kill lol.

OFC, I still apologize to avoid a fight, but if the ADC blames me and rages, I'm always more than happy to abandon them and roam.

(I also don't do ranked. Too many toxic people.)

Oh I thought we were debating FB on Supp vs ADC. You're right, it's definitely not wasted on support (a kill is a kill, more than just 300g), just might be better on ADC.
