I am working on trying to let kills go to the adc. I want the enemy to die, but I know getting thresh fed as support won't necessarily make me 1v5 diving them under their turret very easy.
No worries, take the kills.
I rather eat their turrets/nexus.
Honestly, as a support player, I feel it's better for the support to get the first kill. This equates to better vision control which means your ADC can be safer in their plays to get the following kills.

except that 150 extra g would have been exactly what I needed to get a bf sword on the first back. Instead now I have to settle for a pickaxe instead, and give up lane and kill pressure because i have 25 less ad, which is HUGE early. If I wasn't going to get the kill for whatever reason, im totally fine with you taking it, better that gold goes to somebody than to no one. But for the love of god, when the adc can get the kill, give him the fucking kill.
He'll be a lot stronger with the extra gold than you will, which translates to a bigger advantage in lane which translates into more kills and an easier win.

Might replace Talisman with a righteous glory even, if I have to damage soak more than what those items allow me to which is even more gold sank into it. Yeah it is cheaper than your full build, but mine lets you get the most out of yours >:(

for some reason i always have trouble not stealing kills with 
I dont know what it is but I always either throw the hook 1sec too late thus stealing the kill, or I flay at an inappropriate time thinking itll pull the champ back for someone to kill them but I end up taking it instead....my gf yelled at me one game because I had more kills than her...she was playing jinx too
