when they're at base and you're just freezing the lane to soak up some xp and gold

I was playing Karma support for a Graves, and was simply LAST HITTING minions while he was at base. Wasn't even pushing, just last hitting.
He told me I was a terrible support because supports aren't supposed to get minions, ever. 'So you want me to just let the gold on each minion go to waste?' 'Yes! God you're such a bad support.'
but it's true~
push my lane into their turret and deny the enemy the gold and exp.... YOU FOOL
OKAY! OKAY! I'll leave. Just give me a second.
"Finishes clearing wave to protect the lane then leaves."
