The fact that this was considered for punishment by the Tribunal should show each and every one of you reading this post just how terrible Riot's grasp on the word "toxicity" really is. This is not toxic. This is hilarious. Verbal abuse is bad, don't get me wrong, and Riot should hand out chat bans for it. In fact, the chat ban campaign that Lyte started in season 3 or 4 was by far the highlight of player behavior in this game. It forced people to actually relearn how to better use the chat function to win games instead of wasting precious time and effort berating other players. Now we have this escalating punishment bullshit that is entirely automated and literally never reviewed by a real person, and we have people literally getting permabanned for statements like the one above. Everyone in this game, including Riot, needs to grow up real fast, because in the real world, when your superiors tell you that you suck (maybe they are nice about it, maybe they are blunt af), you can either take it in stride, or you can become unemployed. That's all there is to it.

It was in response to the post I commented on...Please view in thread format, it makes life so much better. And yes, I took this post way too seriously, I know that, but it really pisses me off when players on these forums joke around about player "justice". Riot is literal shit when it comes to behavior moderation, and the fact that the comment "I'm used to carrying trash" comes from a series of posts titled "funniest Tribunal cases" means that enough people actually found such a statement toxic enough to report it and consider punishing the player for saying it.

You have no idea if they got punished or not, it was just a quote someone found when they were looking through the tribunal. It might not have even been either of these people that were being judged by the tribunal since back then the entire chat log was presented.

I'm confused, players reported something to be judged by players, and because of that it is riot's grasp that is terrible?

Everyone in this game, including Riot, needs to grow up real fast, because in the real world, when your superiors tell you that you suck (maybe they are nice about it, maybe they are blunt af), you can either take it in stride, or you can become unemployed. That's all there is to it.

For one, this is a game, not work. For another, teammates are more like co-workers, not superiors. (as much they'd like that) The superiors would be riot, and in any decent work place I know, if your co-workers would repeatedly file complains about your behavior to your boss, you'd get fired if you don't change. (this is actually a really nice metaphor to the escalating punishment system)

Anyways I don't know why you get so riled up about riot because of something funny that showed up in the tribunal once. (because of what the tribunal was)

Are you sure it didn't move?

Last I checked the nexus and inhib towers moved out and the tier 1 and 2 towers took their place.
