I found it today looking for the reasoning behind Karthus name (an area in Dark Souls 3 has a very similar one and it's both about bones and undead 'n' stuff, so I was interested) and I found the most beatiful results! They bring joy wherever they go... if your definition of joy consists of a death in agony and enslavement for the rest of eternity, turning you into hollow undead, whose mind is irrevocably annihilated to the point of everlasting pain and/or complete emptiness. Teemo doesn't want pain or suffering against anyone, so putting Teemo's in the same shoes as two death controlling people isn't fair and 100% irrelevant.

So no, they're not a jolly bunch, but Teemo is because his job is to protect his race of yordles from crazy psycho humans that hate him.
