im literally in champ select right now, and my team is freaking out that i didnt first pick or ban garen. and im just like wtf garen is NOT op enough to ban compared to so many others right now.

Garen's always been able to be stupidly tanky and deal a lot of damage, but only in an area just around him. He just happens to synergise REALLY damn well with the juggernaut items (which were at least in part designed for him) and becomes this insanely fast, tanky guy who deals a load of damage with just a Black Cleaver that you HAVE to CC him down AWAY from your team and oh look suddenly he can't do a damn thing. Because that's the idea behind juggernauts. Garen and Skarner I think are currently the best of the juggernauts, or they're at least the ones you can DEAL with. Darius just does insane amounts of damage even when built full-tank and basically is impossible to deal with at all if you're melee. And Mordekaiser is... Well... Enough threads have been made about that already.

Garen is extremely broken in his current state, they added so much damage to him and he can still build so tanky.

I can't even remember the last time I didn't see Garen banned or if he wasn't and somsone picked him there was a dodge 5 seconds later.
