I hate it when they do that. Because then I can't surrender. I must make them earn those hits on the nexus.
I was playing One for All with a full team, we were fiddlesticks against blitzcrank. I'm pretty sure they got us down to our nexus (we may have still had the turrets), but we kept waveclearing and surviving until the enemy team finally surrendered because they got tired of playing
And then they throw and you win.

Had a ranked game yesterday where my team mates decided to engage 4v5 and give Vayne an unofficial Quadra Kill late game. They pushed all the way to our Nexus and instead of finishing they backed off b/c they wanted to pad their KDA's. I told my team to get behind me and follow me in on Vayne. Was Nasus 
and 
. We killed Vayne and collapsed on the rest of them and pushed to steal the win.
Moral of the story never be cocky if you have the advantage and never pad your KDA. If you aren't playing to blow up the enemy nexus then you are playing to lose and yes never surrender...
I would rather make someone earn victory than concede defeat. I'm here to play, win or lose. Giving up just isn't a choice unless we're getting utterly pulverized, and if we are, then it won't be long anyway. xD

I don't think telling the enemy team to surrender has ever once led to a surrender, in the history of league. Super counterproductive thing to type out.
Had one of those games yesterday.
All three inhibitors down. Enemy had baron and elder dragon. We made them fight to finish.
Spoilers: we won.

The meme shows a feeling that we go through yes, but - if we aren't attentive to what matches with our team's wish, then even if we are that guy who holds out to the last, we are still selfish and completely defeat the noble purpose of being bold and enduring.
A while back, I got autofilled as support, and played Janna for the first time (It was normals, relax people). Two people on our team went AFK. It was me, Syndra and Kha'Zix versus the world. Kha'Zix got a Pentakill and we won.
Never surrender. Never give up.
Not just defending the Nexus:
- Defending the Nexus being the only one alive
- Trying to outplay and maneuver a three man gank while hiding behind the Top lane turret
- Slowly getting your lane stomped
- Trying to fight the fed Vayne that dive rolls you after second
This is why I mute the enemy team, much better without them being toxic.
