That would be a nice niche for a support, being all about the anti-jungling. I feel like if that's the case it's cause Riot is subtly trying to get the focus off botlane.

It would be nice but they already tried that with Bard and didn't seem to ship roaming-based support since.

I think the issue was they were trying to force the roaming thing and didn't know what they really wanted out of him (a completely roaming support is pretty much impossible in the current meta and he's not great as a jungler either, so he couldn't really go jungler or support). If the new champ works how about how he seems to work, then he might be more about repealing enemy ganks rather than sabotaging the enemy jungler/ helping the ally jungler. Of course if that were the case, then I suppose an "Anti-ganking support" would be a more accurate description.

I bet his passive will be minigame how long can you deny and heal enemy jungle's mobs and you'll gather some points from it.
