Greetings, Summoners! And welcome to "From Humble Beginnings", where we delve deep into the lives and history of some of Runeterra's most famous (or infamous) inhabitants! We search through the annals of history and find the long-buried secrets of these legends from back before they were even legends! And we are pleased to inform you that we have discovered the truth! Was it his magic? Is he another species? Is he just really, really depressed? No! Because of their unusual skin color, this tribe was shunned by society - many feared them and most thought they were just straight up weirdos. But, during a time of financial crisis for the tribe, Ryze had a clever idea to use their abnormality to earn the money they desperately needed to survive. So, Ryze and a few of his younger tribe-mates sacrificed their dignity and pride and threw themselves into the spotlight around Runeterra, selling their blue-skinned freakishness for money.
