I don't think there's many situations where the support staying to agonizingly slowly get some CS is the right call

It's usually not a case of staying to get cs - more often we're staying to poke/harrass the enemy adc/support who are still in lane, so we last hit the enemy minions while we're there.

Or when the adc got tunnel vision and decided to fight 1v2 while the support is warding river - adc has to back to regain health, but I'm still topped off and both enemies are still in lane.

I thought you were gonna say, it's usually to get the exp, and some cs if possible. Letting a wave crash into the tower, with no one there to get the free exp is just asking to get killed when both enemies hit 6 before you.

God, i hate those players so much. They are not there and won't get any CS or experience when the wave hits the tower or just dies on it's own AND NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO LAY CLAIM TO THEIR LANE.

And those people who end up with 1/10, still pretend like they should be allowed to grab any CS coming their way, despite them being fully unable to do anything with the gold because they die first. Gee, maybe someone else might want that gold too? Someone who is in the position to turn it around?

And then those types of players who think their supports are their pets and they always follow their master, no matter if that means both of their deaths. Their support is only their support and not a team's support and the support is not allowed to go 2 feet away from them or else risk their ADC dying of asphyxiation because they need their support's help to breathe.

Or those people who expect their support to make up for their stupid mistakes, bad positioning and even give up their life so they can get away or play recklessly, every time.

Or those people who ping furiously when a jungler comes to gank their lane and helps pushing it to the enemy tower so that the lane resets, refusing help and claiming CS and experience as his and his alone. Then they tell the jungler to f off and never gank their lane again.

#GEE, I FORGOT THAT BEING AN ADC SOMETIMES MEANS ACTING LIKE AN ENTITLED ASS WHO THINKS THE ENTIRE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND THEM.

Its actually more complicated in the toplane, since the jungler last hitting often means the lane is getting pushed.

If the toplaner just died, and has tp down, he's severely behind, and being behind on a pushed lane is awful, specially if the enemy laner freezes the lane.

So your little attempt at getting 6 cs might actually cost your toplaner 20+ cs and experience.

I agree with you on this one completely. Bottom lane is a little different because you can still kill minions when behind as a ranged champion. In top lane if you fall behind it is impossible to farm outside of tower range because last hitting minions means the enemy champion will last hit you and you will become a feeder. As a jungler if you don't want your top laner to feed when they are behind then don't touch their minions.

I only hit the ones that will die anyhow and they still whine. So we should just let the gold get wasted rather then take it... babies. Better still when you have relic shield and they cry like mad when you kill a minion like they lose xp or gold or some shit. They more interested in creep score than winning games.

I'm honestly triggered when my support stays in a lane when I recall instead of either doing something useful or, ideally, recalling with me so that we can come back to lane fresh ready to 2v2 again. because usually what happens instead is you have some dumbass trying to CS as janna or whatever, doesn't recall until I'm back, and then its 1v2 for me and I can't farm

We can probably forgive you because you're level 12, but it's a very important lesson to learn that pushing the lane (killing minions) when one of you is gone is very bad. (Support OR ADC)

It opens you up to ganks.

And if you don't know that first part, you probably also don't know that it's then not the jungler's fault when you don't get ganks and he can't respond when you ask for help.

If you're in position for the enemy to gank you, that means you're pushed too far up for your jungler to help.

As I said in the main post - when I go to last hit minions. I am not pushing, I am not using abilities on the minions or constantly attacking them. I'm usually near my own tower killing the minions as they're about to die - either poking the enemy if they're still there or holding the wave back from the tower.

If I were pushing the lane, then you would be correct - but I never said anything to even suggest that.

If you think that the meme you posted corresponds to that situation then you're forcing where it doesn't fit.

If you're not pushing and they're not there, then it has nothing to do with stealing farm. So the only reason someone would ping you, because no one is stupid enough to think they can farm while at the base, would be because your "last-hitting" is pushing the lane.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this does happen. It isn't common, but you do occasionally come across people like that. And yes, the meme is very fitting for the situation, because that is my reaction when people start spamming "DANGER" pings on minions that they have no chance of getting near.

If they ping once and then type "please don't push wave", then I'll back off even if I was just last hitting. The issue is with the meaningless ping spamming. It's annoying, aggressive, and doesn't communicate anything. And if you're walking back from base, you have time to type 4 short words in chat.
