Caitlyn blocks off an entire path with traps, guarding that area with the threat of a guaranteed headshot for at least the first person that attempts to pass the blockade.

In Pokemon games, Snorlax is typically found in a few preset encounters where he is sleeping on a path or a critical intersection, blocking progress until you defeat or capture him. Definitely some similarities between the two.

Agreed. He was an Antagonist you could empathize with rather than "cocky brat" or "evil organization". He actually fought for what he thought was right, and when he saw what was really happening, everything he knew took on a different perspective.

Not only that, but he made you look at your role in a new perspective as well. He was so earnest in his beliefs, he really did make you question whether you really wanted to be a Trainer.

Personally, there was missed potential in that game. I would love an option where you could become Champion...but to further the evil team's goals if you wanted. I mean...there was this OTHER game called Black & White...

Man, GSC and HGSS were probably the most rage inducing Pokemon Games when it came to puzzles, and random Pokemon. Sudowoodo blocking the path to Ecruteak, Ice Path puzzles, Lt. Surge's Gym and Snorlax, Cerulean Cave navigation, roaming Pokemon like Raikou/ Entei and Latios/ Latias, not to mention the amount of Zubats one would run into when going through all the caves in Johto. Still good games.
