I was in a game earlier our toplaner picked yasuo even though he had never played yasuo even though i had it highlighted as my midlaner even though i have over 200 games with yasuo this season alone...

needless to say, we lost

Because Yasuo till he gets his proper nerfs he should of got within the 2 seasons he avoided getting 'nerfs', he eternally has that "OMGZOR! NEW CHAMPION MUST PICKZ CAUSE HE IS SO COOLZ AND SHIZ!" plague that hangs around him with any new champion that comes out. Even though he has been out for a long time, thanks to his kit attributing to that.

Top lane Yasuo doesn't work unless you're up against the oddball toplaners (Teemo, Kennen, etc.) because they're able to tank his damage and repeatedly smash him before he gets fed.

So if you're playing Xerath and about to go mid against Yasuo, just trade places with Garen before the match starts. Both the enemy team mid-lane skirmisher and top-lane immobile tank will love you.
