I swore I'd never buy a skin because I didn't need them to play the game. About a week after I met someone they asked which skin I liked the most; I told her I like Ghost Bride Morgana and Victorious Janna. She bought me Ghost Bride as a gift and never played again (I have no idea where she went.) :(
A couple weeks after losing my duo friend, I thought it wouldn't hurt to buy a 5 dollar card and buy some skins. I didn't realize at the time how expensive they really were, and was only able to pick up one or two. I believe my very first purchase was Muse Sona, because I wanted to buy her before she was placed into the mysterious vault, where it would never be purchasable again.
A bunch of $50 RP cards later... I don't know what even happened. I have skins for champions that I don't even play. Welcome to League of Dress-up!

Actually, I got the Commando bundle for my first. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not it was worth it. Not like it was completely worthless. I love Jarvan and Lux and I've got Xin and Garen, though I've never touched Galio outside of ARAM.

. I remember my thought when I was first thinking about buying my first skin too. I was still trying to decide who my main was and for whomever I chose to main, I would buy that first skin for them and use that as a small way to show that know this champ. Since then mystery skins came out and I got skins for champs i never use out of it... so that plan flew out the window .__.

I got High Command Katarina with the 400 RP they give you at level 4 or whatever, but the first skin I actually paid money for was Kitty Cat Katarina.....
And frankly I was kinda disappointed that it doesn't have any new particle effects
Sinful Succulence Morgana. I bought it because of it going back into the skin vault, and it being the only silly skin for a champ that's perpetually angry.
All the other skins I have were from mystery skins. I don't care too much about what I get, as long as I've saved money on it. So far that hasn't happened and probably never will.
My first skin was Bird of Prey Anivia but I refunded it later. Still don't know why ._.
