Post-nerf veigar is much like Mini Mario

Mini mario has some advantages over his normal-sized self. He jumps higher, can walk on water, and can enter tiny pipes. Veigar has advantages over his pre-nerf self, such as longer ranged Q and double AP farm. Mini mario does have disadvantages, however. He can still kill enemies, but it takes more effort and skill. You can only ground pound to do any damage (pressing down in mid-air). Veigar is the same way. He can still kill his enemies, but it takes much more effort and skill.

Just a nice comparison I found.

I kinda disagree with this comparison. Getting a mini-shroom in mario is often a very very good thing. Playing New Veigar is not.

The only positive is that if he somehow DOES get going (which realistically, he's at a point now where that shouldn't happen) he can stack faster. However this leads to almost no counterplay, because he can basically just get Deathcap -> full tank, and become completely ridiculous, so it's still a bad change in that sense.

In every other situation, Veigars changes were for the worse.

Old veigar was a braindead brute. But pretty low range. New veigar is a braindead brute. That you can juke.

I main Veigar. That, to me, was a buff more than a nerf. It's so satisfying to kill an enemy by launching your Q THROUGH their ADC and killing their support. 1st penta ever was with post-buff Veigar. I don't know what you guys are on about.

(Mini Mario is still kinda cool though. Ever tried beating bosses 2 and 6 with him? Secret worlds.)

Mini...boss? IS THAT A SHORT JOKE!? Veigar :)
