I was pointing out the absurdity of the "high elo players are gods" mindset with what I THOUGHT was a statement so inane no one would take it seriously. Is a high elo player better than a low elo player at the game. Probably? Some people get lucky but most make it on skill. Does that mean we should worship them or that they have worthwhile advice on things NOT pertaining to the game? No. Hell, I've seen some REALLY bad plats that fed, raged and made dumb mistakes... I've also seen some solid Bronze and silver players who probably could shoot way higher in Elo but they don't play ranked. Rank doesn't equal the right to shove your advice down people's throats or treat "lesser" players poorly.

So yeah... if a Diamond gives me some advice about playing Tristana, I'll probably take it. But if a Diamond steps into a room and says "BEHOLD FOR I AM DIAMOND FIVE, WORSHIP ME AND DO MY BIDDING SCRUBLORDS!" he's getting reported for being a massive dingus, even if his advice is sound. Nearly EVERY time someone mentions their rank in this game it is either them boasting like a jerk or putting someone down and abusing them because they're lower rank than you. The odd time it's mentioned for NEITHER of those reasons is probably when you run into that guy who INSISTS he's a Diamond smurf and that's why you need to give him mid even though he's last pick and you queued for mid. FYI, he's not. He's gonna first-time Yasuo and feed.

Seriously you're overthinking this. First of all... MOST men would be considered failures compared to Hugh Heffner. He has roughly 780 girlfriends and an ass-load of money and fame. Second of all... The ENTIRE point of my post was that there WAS no logic to it. It was intentionally flawed in a way that I thought was so obvious that everyone would get the joke! The point was... high elo players standing on their ratings like it makes them godly and eternally right is as absurd as my rant about the businessman with the wife. Just because I make a lot of money doesn't mean I'm qualified to tell everyone around me how to live. I'm probably not even qualified to tell other people how to make money... as what worked for me might not for other people.

You managed to miss the point AND you took it seriously for some reason... I also like the cunningly stereotypical "lol u bronze" at the end there to really bring home the idea that you're not playing with a full deck. Weren't you arguing that ranking shouldn't matter anyway and high elo people aren't sacred beings to be obeyed at all costs? Are you implying that high elo players are always right?
