I think it's still sad that those two C characters ended up having better character development than two of the A characters.
Varick's still the best though.
biggest difference:
Verrik wanted something specific; Zhu Li knew how to do it.
ADC's just want a miracle. The support often can't do it.
Was I the only person who thought the Zhu Li/Varrick side story was the best part of season 4?
I still think Juli had one of the strongest character builds that I absolutely loved.
Those who complained about the ending of LoK clearly weren't paying attention to how the characters interacted with each other. Everything made sense from a character progression standpoint, IMO. I don't think there's a strong case to be made that the Brian and Michael "shoehorned" anything in there. In point of fact, they both remarked that they weren't expecting it to end that way, but as the show went on, it developed quite organically before their eyes.
Sometimes artists/writers/creators don't have a definite endgame in mind for their creation, and they'll often tell you they're just as surprised at what they made as you are.
But back on topic:
My response (as a support) is often: "Do what? Die with you when you engaged a Thresh/Kalista with no minion protection to hide behind?"
