I mean... He doesn't deal any damage if he can't get it off... I overextended as GP while being low health. I just walked towards my tower, inside of his circle. When I was close enough he couldn't stun me either... The champion just outplays himself if his teammates don't CC ya for him, or when he has ult....
early game his damage is a lot lower, especially compared to how much mana he uses in order to keep his stars out. Late game however, it is definitely considerable!
His damage is also a lot less consistent relative to most mages, as his w and q are both easily avoidable without ally help (moreso than most skillshots).
I mean, the damage compensates for his lack of mobility and him being visible in bushes, so yea.
he is 13th on highest damage done per game which is pretty ffing high but this inludes all damage
