I always cringe when I see this happen, especially if its a teamfight and the person diving just got a triple kill or quadra. They're just throwing shutdown gold at the enemy team at that point.

...i would rather the APC throw the shutdown gold to the support than to any carry in the next fight. the ADC you need to push for objectives though.

I'd like to see how stupid some of the APCs and bruisers would act with a support. It'd be glorious at first, then devolve into the current state of ADC affairs.

What I'm saying is: No one on the team tends to be smarter than any other member of the team. ADC just gets stupid-leeway because he has a second body.. as does the support. In truth though, I tend to see a lot of supports making hilariously stupid dives while the ADC is too far away to follow up. I don't get it :\ (note: I've also seen ADCs make even stupider dives; the stupidest dives I usually see come from top laners, though)

Then that moment when a person who mains both ADC and Top comes along... "TDUBH WHAT THE HONEST HELL ARE YOU DOING DIVING THEIR NEXUS FOUNTAIN WHEN YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TAKEN OUTERS." "ummm... Yolo?" Top's only goal is to destroy the enemy laner, especially since it is the lane most often left on an island; stupid dives occur because often times you want; A, to get ahead of the other laner B, to fuck over the other laner C, to get fed enough to escape jungler ganks D, to get fed enough to hopefully 1v2 Jungler's often leave top alone or if a jungler goes top he is often not counterganked resulting in a situation where screwing over the other top-laner is "worth"... unless you screw yourself over. Basically: there are reasons why top-laners do moronic dives... just not excuses.

I once had a Corki that kept diving the enemy adc every time they got low, dying to the Nidalee support (back when that was a thing). Tried to justify it by "kills on nid aren't anything". Had about 20 cs at 20 minutes, Nid got basically all the lane farm and carried.
