Renekton because he has hard cc and doesn't take as long to ramp up. He's also more mobile.

Nasus is a much more awesome animal. In game his build choices can vary greatly and still be fun. You'll see Renekton play safe and dash away, but Nasus stands strong and doesn't fear death.
Nasus just seems much more intelligent and civilized. Renekton seems like a bloodthirsty crazy croc. Nasus seems like a wise leader.

) Since Nasus can do more than Top lane and I prefer Infernal Nasus over Scorched Eearth Renekton.
I love Nasus because he is cool, controlled, and wise. He's also rather nostalgic and melancholy about his past, and I feel like that character is very unique, especially in league. (I also love Skarner for this)
Plus infinite scaling is supercool, as well as being thematic for an ancient being.

Renekton because his kit is more challenging to play as Nasus is just a farm-all-day champ, which I hate imo.
Honestly I'm not too fond of either because they're rather boring to play, but I guess I'll go with Nasus because AP Nasus support is actually pretty decent. You don't get many Q stacks so you build AP, his slow and armour shred get lots of kills for your carry. Thematically I like Nasus better too, Renekton just seems like a really shallow bloodthirsty killer, Nasus is intelligent and restrained.
Renekton probably isn't getting nerfed or any competition in the near future.
I would play Nasus if I had to, but only because I could never get the hang of Renekton, his play style just doesnt mesh with mine, but if I were to pick one of the two for a teammate I would easily pick Renekton for his mobility and that great stun, makes it easy for ganks since I usually jungle.

both have some major balance issues that need to be worked out. Until then they are on my do not touch list. I used to enjoy Renekton too, but that doesnt excuse the fact that he is an unhealthy presence in the game right now and playing champions that tip the balance scales is only perpetuating the problem. At least that is how I feel.
Nasus really needs only one change and that is to his passive. I feel that Nasus should trade passives with Fiora. Nasus has the beef and bulk to actually see a benefit to an increase in health regen while Fiora would work far better with some bonus life steal at the start. Siphoning strike however would need to have a life steal effect on it though equal to his current passive at least. Siphon strike not leeching life when used would destroy a part of Nasus identity.
If I were forced to pick though it would be Renekton

Nasus all the way. <3 the dog. He might be "anti-fun" for people playing against him but it's a blast playing as him and it's enjoyable to outplay a nasus so he doesn't get big.
Renek is just not fun to play as or against. He's a super bully and it's just EQWE and you win. Not really fun to fight since he's just going to bully you, and let's face it, the dog beats the croc with his pimp cane :)
