Don't get why mid is so popular, it's the most paranoid lane to be in because you can get ganked from like 7 different angles. Also being in the middle of the map means its a priority to collapse on.

It is not the lane, it is the champions. Most of the fun champs in this game are best played mid.

It's the same reason you see so much Vayne in the ADC role, she is fun compared to the other ADCs.

I'd say it's mostly the lane. It's most likely to get ganked, sure. Because it has the most impact.

A good mid laner is much more likely to win you the game than a good top laner.

its also the shortest lane which makes it the easiest to farm and the hardest to get zoned from xp. as long as 3 or 4 people dont surprise you from the angle of the wraith camp somehow... its pretty safe.

It's because as the game has changed over the seasons, it's become clear that mid is the one true "carry" role. And nobody really plays league because it's a team game.
