Personally, since Sona's not even a playable champion... I'd rather have the dust and craft the other skins I have just sitting around.

Who cares? I already have a Flash Wolves icon my friend gifted me and nth more icons to choose from. Why would I need 3 more that could potentially get me reported by people angry at Rito for ruining Sona?

Personally I really like the look of those summoner icons, and I love the music that accompanies Sona in that skin. But I guess that's just my opinion.

Are you saying they aren't justified? Rito INTENTIONALLY ruined Sona, in complete disregard of the unanimous community outrage. Then not only have they continued beating her dead corpse, they've let it rot for close to 2 fucking years now, whilst some Ritoers like just for a example of a few: KateyKhaos, Meddler and Jag have even resorted to blatant verbal abuse and even intimidation against Sona players.

Is it still petty when you consider all of these facts?

Tell that to Rito. They refuse to consider the consequences of their owns actions or take responsibility for them. This is just yet another of such instances. Matter-of-fact, I'm almost certain this was their intended desire in the first place.

Wasting money on a champion that Rito and nearly a dozen of their employees have publicly voiced their hatred of and show blatant discrimination against just serves to show approval of Rito's ethical misconduct and makes that person a part of the problem too. Showing Rito that they're allowed to disrespect their own playerbase, because people's morals are lacking enough that they'll continue supporting the game in spite of.

I got DJ Sona before but I just melted it because I'm not a fan of the skin. I AM a fan of the massive amount of essence it gave me though.

I got two Spirit Guard Udyr shards. I disenchanted one to help make the first Spirit Guard Udyr and used the leftover essence to get Lollipoppy.

I have gotten 2 cheap tristana skins, azir champion shard (i own all champs), 150 essence, and a summoner icon so far. I don't play tristana or adc for that matter :(
