I watched 2 or 3 episodes when I was 12 and thought to myself that the dialogues were super cringy and tarribly written

I tried watching one episode again 15 years later and couldn't make it past the first 5 minutes because of how terrible the writing was X(

highly unlikely considering the first time I watched was in french, and the second time was in japanese

(and if naruto is anything to go by, the french dub is actually much better than the original japanese voices)

Well, that's at least partially because the first time you watched it you were already twelve. I remember when the first season came out in America and I saw it, I was six. It's a lot better when you're six, lol.

I guess i have a spoiled childhood because my favorite show was beast wars... and when I rewatched it as an adult (who finally understood english enough to really get what the show was about), I enjoyed it even more because the writing is absolutely fantastic for that show... on top of being really cool to see a velociraptor that shoots lasers from his eyes as a kid who barely spoke english
