Thirdly, while people are happy, what should we say? Good job Riot for fixing something you fucked up a year ago? for fixing something that the community did not want and warn you about? For fixing something you lied about shamelesly?

The lack of response is not due to the community, its due to the actions of Riot and their interactions with the community, there is a limit to how shitty you can treat people and how much you can lie to them.

Hybrid Juggernaut actually.

I usually play him top and sometimes mid though the latter is a lot tougher if you're unfamiliar with Morde. He works in the Jungle too.

Most of the people who wanted SQ left a long time ago and will probably come back a few months into s7. Likewise, those of us still here are waiting, since last time Riot promised SQ it just got delayed 2 times and then cancelled.

What? LOL. First off, free doesn't mean we don't spend money. Hell, you have to spend money if you want more than 4 rune pages after 1 year of playing. And when someone SAYS or PROMISES something, they're morally obliged to do it. And no, we're not quiet because we're "entitled". We're waiting to see them actually do it because the last 2 times they promised it, it wasn't delivered.

Actually, you can buy however many rune pages you want with IP, so no you don't HAVE TO spend any money.

Even if you do spend any money, you're not entitled to anything except the service you spent the money for. If you buy 10 skins, you're entitled only to those 10 skins, that's it. In reality that's still Riot's property and they can do whatever they want with it, but that's a whole different story.

If they promise something that comes FREE, they're still under NO OBLIGATION to do it.

When the hell did they promise Solo Q 2 times? You said one time was around pre-season when they announced the launch of Dynamic Q (and you still didn't bring any evidence, so it's just gossip), but when the hell was the 2nd time?

I never said you couldn't, but the rate you gain IP at? It's very low and hard to do unless you use RP for champs. Played this game for 3 or 4 years and I only have 11 rune pages (2 were free from Riot, 1 was purchased alone, and the other other 8 were bought during the 2 for 1 deals, without those I would only have 7 rune pages). And you don't remember when it was promised?

With a source link to the previous one I linked. Riot said it was coming back, then said it was being moved back to 1 month later, then cancelled. If you really don't remember those, you either didn't play long enough, didn't care about ranked, or didn't browse forums for news.

You can even check Lyte's account and his comments, he mentions a queue for only solo players.

You literally said that you HAVE TO. I've played for about 1 year and a half, I have 10 rune pages, only 1 or 2 of them purchased with RP, none of them during a promotion, and I have over 100 champs, again like only 2 of them purchased with RP. What the hell did you spend your IP on?

The first one is indeed a promise. Was it nice that they didn't deliver? No. Does it mean Rito should feel bad? Maybe. Were they in any obligation to deliver? Absolutely not. It's still a free product, they can do whatever they want. I honestly wish that they did bring solo q back just so that everyone would shut the fk up.

The second one is not a promise, it's just a Rioter explaining how they were trying to tune DQ to have a more fair matchmaking in higher elos.

Why they're not bringing only solo q instead of both solo and duo q I have no idea, and I don't really care either, they're both equally trash. But you'd figure that players would be happy to get part of the wish fulfilled, but nah.

Provided you're playing at a normal rate, I'm correct. Now, unless you're someone like imaqtpie who plays for 8 hours a day, OR you spend RP for IP boosts, you're getting exactly what I said.

I think you need to work with a developer for a while and understand how business works with free products that thrive on donations/e-sports. When you make a promise and break it, you lose the trust of players, the same players who take the risk of paying you. We don't have to, but sometimes we do. Hell, when I heard Riot was adding a bot to scan chats for offensive words in reports I was so happy I went out and spent $10 on RP as a thanks because I think it's a vast improvement. I did that because I trust them, and I was right, they improved it and it picks up on words like "%%%got" so people are punished.

DQ is fine as long as we have a SQ option. You clearly just feel anger at people not being 100% fine with the game, YOU don't care about the state of the game, the playerbase, or how it grows.

I used to play a lot of hours for a while, and I only bought 2 IP boosts for 3 days each, but I think a lot of my IP came from First Win bonuses and party rewards. Regardless, the game is 100% free, whether some people are patient enough to grind it or not is a different matter.

It's common sense that a company wants to keep its clients happy, obviously, that's why they're bringing back Solo Q. However, every company has certain plans for the future in order to expand, and sometimes that requires making some sacrifices, some clients won't be happy, but that's just how it is, whether it's a bad or a good decision.

I'm not angry, just annoyed of all the whining. If everyone would've simply said ''I don't like DQ, I prefer SQ'', that would've been perfectly fine, but no, all I heard was ''everyone is boosted'', ''ranks don't mean anything'', ''it's bad for high elos (this coming from silvers)'', ''playing DQ = automatically boosting'', etc.

Because there's mass boosters (Dekar173) who boost in DQ for donations. And ranks don't mean much below plat/diamond.

I did a bit of research on actual boosting services, and shockingly this is what I found out:

solo boosting is way cheaper (it's over 100$ difference for Gold 4 - Dia 5 boost)
dynamic boosting (which also includes duo, thus not Dynamic Q's fault) requires you to gain at least a certain amount of LP, have a certain KDA (in other words if you're too heavy, they won't boost you), and you can only be boosted to Diamond 5, whereas with a solo boost you can even buy Master.

In conclusion, the real problem with boosting is not Dynamic Q, it's boosting itself.

It's not about the price, it's about being perfectly safe. And no, DQ boosting was an issue because it put you against higher ranks because communication between premades is better than solo players, resulting in higher rewards.

And they don't mean much below because you don't decay, you don't have to work for it. If I, a gold 5 player, got an elo boost to diamond 5, I would have to play to keep it, and I would lose again and again and again and drop down. People buy boosts to gold (some get silver just because it's not bronze) and let their account sit. I know 2 people who did this, and I see a lot of players in gold who clearly don't belong there. The other big argument is that plat+ is where the game becomes strategy and not about mechanics.
