people told me the key for killing jax is poking, never engage in "long" fights with him
but i prefer to let him do what he's doing and look the other way
God I hate RB Jax, I actually managed to keep one down in lane as Kayle but our very drunk Jungle ran into lane with half HP and fed him a couple of times. It was all down hill from there.

I had great success as Kassa against him, you get behind in farm early but you can fight thx to Kass' mobility. But early game without finished few items going 1vs rageblade Jax is plain dumb idea.
I don't know how or why Kass would ever have a good laning phase vs Jax. Kassa can poke with Q, granted, but all Jax needs is a Doran's blade and pots and Kass would find himself running OOM before he pokes him out of lane. Jax does a lot more damage in a heads-up duel.
After 6, Jax wouldn't need to kill Kass, just jump on him with ulti proc and if Kass wants a fight, Jax can give it to him. If Kass ults away then how does Kass gain anything. He'd just lose farm and health.
If you want to counter Jax at least these champions have kits that can do some good. Not necessarily counters but at least you will be able to match Jax and have a good shot at winning the lane.
AND, if you want to completely stomp Jax then these are the best right now vs him.

How to not feed Jax. Step one: in lobby grab the donger. Step two: in game tell your jg to fuck off top. Step three: max q Step four: do what the donger does best and lock the lane down at your turret so hard that even malphite will say rock solid to it. Step five: farm.
You'll never kill him but at least you can be uber safe. He can still one shot you level 6 though so throughout the entire game just poke farm with your rockets and when he leave lane ping 50 times and tell your mid later to back the fuck up. So when teamfights start wait for em to jump to one of the squishes on your team and stun him then pray that your team hardcore focus fires and then try to fight the 4v5 now once he dies. He can still snowball in team fights so after you go 0/0/0 in lane it's up to your team not to feed. I've only done this 4 times so far but I'm a bronze nub and managed to get it to work twice when versing a gold Jax when I'm with my higher elo friends. Other two times where when I got stuck top in bronze que. hope this sorta helps.
Or you just realize rageblade udyr is even more scary. Its my go to champ now to counter jax.
