This is the most common combo for champions, look up champs and see if it will work for them. You will see that nearly all champs use this combo 0.o

Ryze is Q-E-W in order to get E off of CD faster.
Leona does, but shyvana is a E-W-Q champion
most champions I play don't follow this but I'm aware that 70% of the games champions do.

I guess he could, wouldn't make much sense.
Supports are fun to me for that reason, unless you're an all in, you are using spells as they are needed, not in a combo.

I noticed that on most champions, W is their utility spell or the like (shield, mobility, steroid etc...)
