I miss playing league till 3. Back when I had an independent study in my final year of college.

Now I have work and everyone I know either plays too late or too early.

my clan in another game, I've realised, is most active from the hours of 11pm to 6am. however, my college meal hall doesn't open till 11 am, so I just screw my sleep schedule on weekends and I'm fine. mostly.

Sounds like me here and in SW:tOR. Usually done with games by 9:30 during the week. Missing the all-nighters with my college roommates.

They say early 30s is a male's prime age, where his body, senses and...ability to perform are in peak condition. I'd say that's true, because I'm 32 in a few months, and I did a 38 hour stint at a LAN party only last year.

I likely looked as dead as I felt for the last 14 of them, but I did it. Though the real bitch was to drive the 45km home afterwards - I only almost feel asleep at the wheel three times, with the closest one ~200 meters from home, but I did get there safely (and slept soundly for the next 17 hours).

The endurance of the mind is closely related to the physical stamina, so if you work out and stay fit, you can go out, let both your mind and body take a hammering, get back home, and just use a single day to get back into the daily rhythm. I don't drink, so I don't know how alchohol affects all this.

^ One of said LAN-parties (16 years ago) - one guy went to a proper party, then had the briliant idea to come back to sleep...in the middle of the room. Clearly alchohol affects all kinds of performance, because I've seen more active sacks of potatoes than the guy in the clip above.

I have been kicking myself ever since for actually missing out on that one - just 1 year later, and I could've been attending and seen it all live!
