Tell us how you found the lane you're best at! Here's mine, it's both funny and kind of sad... I'm a Support and mid laner, mid laner was always a fit for me unlike Support...Every time I got in a match everyone took any other lane except support. "Hyper Go supp! Go Supp! Supp is open!" Every. Single. Time. So, I finally embraced being a support where you get flamed for stealing 1 cs from your ADC and be blamed for every mistake...As I said, it's funny how I was forced to support every game, yet it's sad...But thanks to the old Teambuilder and the DQ I was able to be something else than support...Thanks Riot! Hmmm.... I started off with being ADC I guess. Its fuzzy, but I think I started with ADC and Support. I soon learned that I was useless in a duo lane, like in three games. I bought Tryndamere, just out of the blue and went top. I had no idea what I was to build, I just bought damage items I think. I then bought Olaf and picked up jungling as well. It never really struck to me. So then when I got Zed I started doing mid. I love(d) playing Zed. I went mid for some time, before going top. I learned that my favorite lanes are top and mid, because I am not someone who likes to be reliant on other people. As a jungler I need to watch out for ganks and save my team. As a bot laner I need to coordinate with my duo. As I said, not my strong points, which left me with top and mid to enjoy 1v1, occasionally getting killed, sometimes killing, always fun.

I pretty much had the opposite experience, I started out as a support main, first time I picked up league I had heard somewhere that no one ever wanted to support and decided to try out the role to see why that was. I ended up really enjoying the role, I got to have a big impact on the outcome of bot lane and focus on controlling the flow of fights through CC or buffs/debuffs rather than focusing on damage, but over time I wound up getting frustrated with a lot of the ADCs I got paired with, like an Ezreal that rushed tear but still arcane shifted into a blitz to try to fight and wound up 60 CS behind out of lane, or a Vayne that let a leona walk up and Q her 3 times at level 1 and died, or an MF that rushed a gunblade and frozen heart every game and died before creeps even spawn challenging the enemy bot lane 1v2. So I switched to mid and top, the champions I usually play best are the ones that are very good at killing ADCs, it's very cathartic.

Before going into support, I had attempted to main both adc and mid. By the time I got to support, I hadn't found a champ I was actually good at, but I got pretty good with pre-rework Soraka and started getting some other support champs. I tried Leona a few times and wound up really liking her playstyle, so I ended up still playing support even after Soraka's rework butchered her for me.

Im mid/support. When i started my friends wanted me to be the support for the ranked team. this was during later season 3. I HATED SUPPORT. So i jumped around learning pretty much all the roles. I got to mid lane because I fed too hard everywhere else when i was pre level 30 and said fuck it, mid is my main now. it also complemented my playstyle of being scared to go in at the time.(still got that on like every non tank champ). Picked up Veigar and Kat and actually did kinda good sometimes on them. Fastforward to mid season 5. I wasnt doing good mid at all. i was on a cold streak like no other cold streak i had ever seen. My jungle was even worse(Jungle was my second role at the time, i was doing so badly that i refused to touch it for a while). All i wanted was to get some wins to get more champions faster so i could have free reign on my champion pool. I was sick and tired of waiting for mid/top in teambuilder (RIP BEST QUEUE OF ALL TIME) only to get squashed. Back on the startup to teambuilder screen i saw there was a ton of openings for support so i thought "fuck it, even if i get crushed atleast im getting into games faster". So i started playing my favorite support from my pre-30 days,Blitzcrank. I did ok. Wasnt anything special but i did have my moments(Best one was when i pulled a kogmaw into my turret and killed him, he then blew up my backing Quinn with his passive and 3/4 people in that bot lane were laughing hysterically). But i got sick of him. I remembered that i actually really liked Bard back when i got him on free rotation. So i bought him and i was hooked. By a thresh. i was terrible. But fuck it i loved bard. i loved "intentionally" baiting the enemy team with my tunnels. This only got better for me once i figured out that i could stun people once they chased into it and they would never learn. His ult was just amazing too. I loved Jinx at the time and a was a pretty huge fan of global/long range ults. For the 1st time as support i felt like i actually made a difference, and it was also a miracle i have never once threw a game on him because of a dumb play Best part was that i could actually play Bard whenever i wanted to because everybody hated support. Hell Bard cemented his spot as one of my go to picks because of how much i loved him, and my 1st ranked game i played him was one of my bronze promos (silver hell yeah) Bard was such a good champ for me that i looked at other supports too and resulted in me being a pretty good support in most areas for my elo. So yeah, if it wasnt for Bard i doubt i would be doing much supporting at all.

This one's simple. My first champion ever and a true main was Syndra. Where does a mage like Syndra usually go?

Mid lane.

The end.

Dynamic Queue made me a support main. It was always my best role but I never wanted to play it.

But I am an impatient mofo.

Season 2 Jungler was the most unpopular role (even more than support since the meta was different) back then double top was common but the person top didn't like it so jungler was forced on me since I was too lazy to type my role fast

When I started League, I was completely clueless about how it worked. The guy who got me into it, who was reather an a*hole, so he made me support him. I stuck with it, since it is too hard to fight people for mid and stuff.

Now I do fill, and have a bunch of champions for each lane (although ap support is still my favorite)

I started playing top because it was the LOL equivalent of Dota 2's offlane. Basically u pick whatever the fk u want and most people won't complain.
