ez mental boom2 votesI'd say my main unpopular opinion is that Dark Souls is only given the illusion of difficulty by the developers willfully keeping information from the tutorial. Have you ever seen a new player roll into an attack? Have you ever seen a new player choose to wear less armor for fast rolls?
It's almost a given that a new player will roll away from attacks (and get caught at the end of their roll) and go for mid rolling
So far, I have told 3 friends exactly how rolling works and they immediately stopped having difficulty everywhere except a few bosses.
I actually had a fairly easy time after beating Sif, because I stayed in the forest to PvP for about 10 hours of gameplay. Figured out how rolling worked. Stopped having difficulties.
