Just for the record, the one that ticked me off enough to say this was a Rengar.

No devourer. Just farmed.

It kinda makes me laugh when people use Devourer as an excuse to not gank, when I play Shyvana and WW jungle(main 2 junglers) and even I can gank 2-3 times before its Sated lol. By the time I am 6 I usually have base Devourer at least, which they both need to reliably gank.

So when those two that need ult to gank well can do it, no other jungler can use it as an excuse lol.

I was trying to make a joke without knowing the circumstances. And ganking helps get you Devourer stacks as well if you manage to get a kill/assist in that gank from what I've learned.

Laners overextend sometimes and get killed by aggressive enemy junglers. If the enemys are feeded, it is sometimes better to farm as a jungler, because fighting them, would mean to feed them even more. So better pick some waveclear and play safe as a laner.

Well, to point out some of the fallacies in that statement:

  1. Sometimes. Overextend sometimes.

  2. Calling an enemy officially ungankable after a single kill as a jungler borders on stupid.

  3. "Better pick some waveclear and play safe as a laner" would imply that I am capable of restarting the game, going Ziggs or Lux, and lobbing spells for 5 years at my turret. Sometimes you didn't go a champ with great wave clear. Fucking oops. Maybe go a jungler that's a strong ganker then? "The burden is on the laner" is a pretty stupid concept when you as the jungler are also part of the team and are affected by the outcome of the lane. Perhaps maybe - just maybe - instead of coming up with excuses not to gank, you could put your energy into figuring out when an opportune time is.

And no, an entire 20 minutes not even attempting to gank is not an actual option when your champ can literally go invisible and leap from 700 units.

I don't feel like making a massive wall so all I can say is it is the responsibility of the jungler and the laner to do well. The jungler won't make all the laners problems go away and the laner won't just magically have an all powerful jungler.

Errors can be made on both sides. Sometimes it is indeed better for the jungler to give up on a lane, sometimes it is indeed worth the risk of dying to stop the lane from becoming unstoppable. Just depends on the game is all.

It depends on the situation. Some junglers have good ganks, some have not so good ganks. Some enemy junglers are good counterganker, some are not so good. Some enemy laners are more difficult to gank. Some enemy laners snowball harder after a kill. Sometimes your own laner is already half life again, when he cries for a gank.

There are some situations where it is stupid to gank a losing lane. And sometimes every lane looses. Shit happens. My answer is to ban oppressive early game champions like Lee Sin, Zed etc.

The fact that a champion which is bad when falling behind, is bad when falling behind, doesn't make such a lane more useful to gank. If you can turn the lane around, then yes, but sometimes this isn't possible, or only later in the game.

Maybe go a jungler that's a strong ganker then?

The jungler can't change his pick during the game too.

this happened to me today. by 15:00 minutes, our jung hadn't ganked yet. anywhere. meanwhile, their jung was like 5-0, or something. I kind of lost it, and all, which wasn't a good thing, since 1) I'm a human being interacting with other people, and responsible for my decision to lose it, regardless of how frustrated I am with a jungler who literally didn't understand the role, and 2) the jungler proceeded to feed my lane after my outburst.

THAT MUCH BEING SAID, not excusing my decision to be a toxic douchebag, this is why I like dynamic queue. you don't get people that don't have even the foggiest idea how to perform at a said role.

You know, as meme-tastic it is to make jungler/support threads, we jungle and support mains have to admit we make pretty dumb mistakes nearly all the time.

Like warding the same bush twice, bush-checking to find a Garen, and so on. We aren't infallible, far from it.
