If you had to to choose some champs to be part of you zombie survival crew

The apocalypse finally happened. Zombies have infested the whole area, and nowhere's safe. Lucky for you, you have the option for choosing five League champs to be part of your survival group. Who would you pick, and why?

My choices:

Soraka We're almost certainly going to get hurt out there. I don't think she'd be able to heal zombie bites, but she could definitely mend up sprains and broken bones.

Annie Although I don't think I'd feel too comfortable with Tibbers around, it's a sacrifice that has to be made so Annie could use her fire magic on the zombies.

Darius If we get attacked, I think he'd do a good job of coordinating the group and using that awesome ax of his to teach the zombies a lesson.

TwistedFate Since he can teleport, he'd be the main scout/supplies collector since he can get past large groups of zombies without getting their attention. He'd be especially useful if the rest of the group is holed up in a building and can't leave because of a horde of undead camping out outside.

Zilean If any of us get bit and Soraka can't heal it, Zilean could use his time-reversing powers to undo it.

You only need one person, Yorick. Too many zombies? Now they're on your side.

You've been asking me about the Infection since you were little, of the champions who led us here and founded this city. You know I don't like to discuss that, though I'm sure you've heard of the quarantines, the fires, the battles that took place before civilization crumbled. I know you've been taught the basics in school, but you want to hear a first hand account. Very well, but I'll make it brief. I dislike dwelling on the past.

After the initial chaos came to an end, as the fires died and the incessant moaning of the undead slowly faded into the white noise of familiarity, those of us who remained looked to rebuild. To take back the world the virus had taken from us, to go back to the normal lives and everyday mundane which we all secretly knew we would never see again. As we huddled in the warehouse which would, for some time, become our home, our roles in this new world, if not our plan of action, soon became clear.

*Garen Crownguard Garen was naturally fit to be our leader. Stalwart and courageous, a proponent of justice. When the barricades broke, when squabbles broke out among our band of survivors, it was Garen who settled disputes. It was Garen, ultimately, who stood as the pillar of our band. * *At his right hand stood Jayce of Piltover Jayce. If Garen was our staunch commander, Jayce was his second in command. His hammer was hope, his charm and wit kept us sane. When tragedy befell us, and it often did, he was the first to remind us of the future for which we fought. He was the first to defend our hopes for tomorrow. * They were the pillars of our ragtag community, the men who we could all trust to lead us to safety. Behind them, though, lurking in the shadows, directing our little band with careful suggestions and subtle manipulations was Swain, Grand General of Noxus Swain. We would have starved, or died in our first attempt to forage, were it not for his careful suggestions - at the time, entirely believed to be of our own design. When a group of survivors was beating at our door begging for assistance, we may have let them in were it not for his hidden council. Let them in, along with the horde at their backs and the infected wounds they hid beneath their clothing. I cannot say I'm proud of all the things we did under his guidance, but I firmly believe that I would not be telling you this today were it not for him.

Lastly, there was Lucian Lucian. Every band of survivors needs someone like him. It was almost as if he'd faced this threat before. As if he'd battled the undead his whole life. I can only imagine what event in his past led to his single minded devotion, what horrors he had seen that kept him up at night, but I'm glad that he faced them. As horrible as it is, we needed that ruthlessness to combat the hordes as much as we needed Swain's amoral scheming and Garen's unwavering sense of justice. We needed someone who could purify the land.

*And so it was that we spent three years in the ruins of that city, in that dockside warehouse barricaded with any scrap we could find. Three long years that we tried to thin the undead's ranks, only to see them swell with each passing day. Three years that we lost and mourned and lost again. Then, on that final day, as the hordes overwhelmed the last of our defenses dawn broke. We had a visitor. She came with fire and vengeance, her righteous fury brought reckoning to our foes. Her arrival was nothing short of divine intervention. You can see her now, on the horizon, patrolling the perimeter of our city. You've met her, every child born in New Hope has. Kayle, the Judicator. Kayle *

Master Yi MasterYi Because according to his lore, he is able to slaughter entire armies by his own

Heimerdinger Heimerdinger Since defend is sometimes key to survival

Bard Bard You know, if things get rough, we can always escape to an alternate universe

Nasus Nasus Because on top of being an ascended being, he gets stronger the more foes he kills

And finally, Jax Jax Cause outside of the League, he is allowed to use a REAL weapon

Syndra Can rip a chunk out of the ground and fly it around. Creating a mobile sky base like this is going to be very useful and is the big reason for this pick. Flies on her own so is in no real danger from zombies. Can also clear zombies well. The rest of the team is based around this pick (more or less).

Sion Already dead, so can't be infected and doesn't require food or water. Can clear out large numbers of zombies easily, getting tougher for each one he takes down. Also provides brute strength for any kind of heavy lifting tasks.

Swain Can send out Beatrice to scout for food and water. He would likely be able to plan his way through any real problems and can just turn into a giant bird to eat the zombies. Would be useful to make sure Sion doesn't go out of control.

Zac Has infinite sustain to clear zombies forever and doesn't have to worry about food, water, or infection. Is also hilarious, so he could help keep the group stress levels down. Could get many places others couldn't by virtue of being made of goo.

Nami Heals are likely to be nice no matter how safe you are. She also seems able to generate water (albeit likely salt, but you can turn it to fresh). With Zac around she should be fine in the group and eventually be a strong emotional anchor. Provides access to underwater resources.

Since I decided to go with Syndra I basically shut off any Ionian or Demacian champs. Demacia is farther out of the picture with the Swain and Sion picks. I go with Sion and Zac because some bruisers that don't have any real risks from zombies are going to be really useful. Nami is picked because she is the only healer I thought I could get into the group without many issues, with Janna as a maybe but likely less useful. I also excluded any Shadow Isle champs because they might have a conflict of interests.

Nautilus, made of metal. Can't be infected.

Sion, kind of unpredictable but cannot be infected and has an almost limitless amount of zombies to feed his bloodlust.

Braum, always puts others before himself.

Draven, why would I want to survive a potentially life threatening apocalypse scenario with a narcissist who always loves to put himself before all others? Because Draaaaaaaaaaaaven.

Vicarious1173/31/2015, 12:56:23 AM2 votes

Azir Can make an army out of sand, so he can hold back an entire horde on his own without having to ever get near the zombies himself. Also an emperor of one of the largest and richest kingdoms in history so would make for a great leader, as long as no Xerath came to screw things up lol

Sion Already a zombie so cannot be infected, would probably love to go on killing sprees of thousands of zombies, perfect protection. Also requires no food or water so less to gather or more to go around and doesn't have to sleep ever so can always be the one who watches the camp at night.

Rengar The ultimate hunter, can move around unseen or heard by the zombies and could kill thousands himself, as well as be the best option in the league for gathering food and water.

Janna Has the ability to heal wounds, probably not a zombie bite of course cause that wouldn't be fair though, but also controls wind to blow zombies away that actually make it past an unseen hunter, an undead juggernaut, and an army made of sand, as well as able to make everyone run faster, something that's always useful in a zombie apocalypse! lol

Zyra She's a plant, so she cannot be infected by zombies, and she can place plant sentries to completely guard off any camp or shelter without anyone else having to stay up and lose sleep, and Sion couldn't defend an entire camp on his own if it's too big, but give him a multitude of plants to shoot and grab zombies he doesn't see and nothing is getting by them lol

Would have also said Yorick cause he can take control of the zombies and then you wouldn't ever have to worry about any apocalypse anyway, but that's no fun for this kind of thread lol

HyperZEROXL3/29/2015, 9:27:45 PM1 votes

Talon Talon He survived on his own for years until Marcus came along. We could use a survival expert as well as a thief to steal us food if we're low as well as a pretty good scout due to his skills as a silent assassin, if he would be found out, he'd disappear. Hecarim Hecarim He's already dead so he could slaughter those zombies nonstop also we could hitch a ride on his back to get to places faster or escape. Ziggs Ziggs He'd set his mines at our camp as well as we'd need some heavy fire power if things get real. Nami Nami Hydration is very important, so Talon would get food, she'd be used for fresh water and minor healing along with...SURFS UP ZOMBIES! Sona Sona She'd heal us as well as entertainment when our spirits are down.

Aatrox Anivia Kayle Zilean and together we'd do all in our power to find a nice item 3026 for each of us.

cause what better way to survive than to simply be unable to die.

The Red Goat3/30/2015, 4:11:06 PM1 votes

Anivia Annie RekSai Sivir Zac

The above would be to simply destroy any zombies our group finds.

Zac would actually be the scout/moral support here as he was raised to be a hero so doing anything he can to help people survive would be in his nature. The scouting thing is from him likely being able to create blob-lets to move around that will be immune to the zombies regardless of their type of infection but can still relay knowledge back to him.

Anivia is immortal and also can make a makeshift zombie proof home anywhere. Her age also grants her more wisdom and knowledge to be considered an impromptu leader.

Rek'Sai would be more than willing to help in the name of her species survival so she could aid in both scouting and defense as her likely tougher than zombie teeth hide gives her an edge in fighting them.

The same can be said of Sivir who would care little for gold in such an apocalypse and simply wouldn't want to die. She would also be resourceful in gathering supplies from her tomb raiding days before the apocalypse.

Annie would be an additional zombie destroyer as, even though she is a little girl, having been a League champion would make her used to seeing things far more terrible than a hoard of zombies. Potential psychological damage aside, she is well suited to being a survivor in a zombie apocalypse and she could be a secondary source of "moral" support in that the other members of the group could alternate caring for her when she is just "being a little girl". Even Rek'Sai might perceive her as simply one of her own to take care of and would fight harder to defend her than the others.
