Ah, back in the golden age of when SyFy channel was Sci-Fi Channel and actually had good shows.
Have you not watched SyFy the last couple years? They've been turning things around. 12 Monkeys just ended and it was awesome. Defiance is really solid and Dominion is way better than it should have been.
Yes, I haven't.
I watched Sci-Fi channel programming for like 2 decades of my life and watched as they pissed away all the good will they generated with increasingly bad programming, cutting out good ideas, series that had good hooks but clattered apart like a "pots-and-pans" robot at the 2nd to 3rd season mark, or Sci-Fi cancelling them mid season, ruining any chance of them wrapping up the story in any meaningful or satisfying way.
I still watch, on occasion, as I enjoy science fiction shows, but the channel itself has fallen so hard that its difficult to not greet its newer shows with a large degree of criticism and apathy.
If you've found something you enjoy on it, that's fine. If I eventually find something I really like on it, that's fine too, but it doesn't mean I won't stop mistrusting the channel itself.
Kind of like how the history channel is about pawn shops and ghost stories. Discovery is about reality TV National Geographic is about jail, drugs, and cop shows
Lol is that John? I don't recall that episode :3
I believe its an episode where a creature took control of the ship and was emitting immense amounts of a frequency of light (using the ship?) that F'd with most alien species' ability to think straight?
This part is the only part I really remember as they gear John up because Earthlings have the worst vision and thus are least affected, which they determined by having a contest of who could read the label on a random metal chair (from like 20 ft away) to which John was the only one to be like "Wait, it has a label on it?"
No the creature was just a tag along. It tricked Pilot to take Moya through a trinary pulsar system that emitted radiation that compromised one's judgment and capacity for mistrust.
;)
Ah, okay, that makes sense. Been awhile since Farscape has been around. I think I last watched it when it was marathon'd prior to Peacekeeper Wars (dat wormhole weapon... damn) being shown.
Crichton: [about the paste Zhaan is spreading on his face] What the hell is this? Zhaan: Heat-deflecting paste, you'll burn up in there without it. Crichton: Smells like puke. Zhaan: I pre-digested it to increase its potency. Crichton: It's puke!?!
FARSCAPE. This is my favorite show ever. Even the Scifi nerds in high school didn't watch this so I had nobody to talk to about it. All the nerds watched Star Trek or stargate or whatever star something.
Probably Stargate SG1, although it could have been Star Trek Enterprise, it was seemingly around at the same time.
Kog, Ryze, Kat, Wukong and Morgana all dying to... Garen?
(theres a disturbing lack of good ol fashioned shield'n'sword characters in this game)
Leona, more like. She must have built a
.
Lex was the only Syfy original that I liked.
Makes me miss Firefly, not Farscape....
Haha I get the reference. +1
Back when radiation was enough of a plot twist device.
