I got S+ on my very first game with Irelia, way before Trinity Force was buffed.

his E passive, as in it's never off cd (although it does more dmg the longer you havent used it)

and that doesn't even matter so long as you last hit the minion you still proc the relic effect. This is a pretty basic thing for thresh players

So playing with (which seems better because Thresh uses a shitton of mana early) will definitely teach me how to last hit.
I know how to last hit, the problem is the coordination with the ADC.

Thresh uses a shit ton of mana, if you suck at hitting hooks. Otherwise, you get a kill.
So how is the personal problem you have with your coordination with the ADC an implication that relic shield is immediately bad on thresh? do you see what the high elo/pro supports pick on him? is it relic shield?

I think Relic Shield and Ancient Coin are both good choices. Personally I always buy coin on Thresh.

His autos change from Melee, to Ranged. Notice how he just swings his hook when near minions but long distance whips from afar? The whip doesn't execute minions but can still last hit, but he can still melee hit minions to execute. Ancient coin doesn't offer the HP he is better off with and it gives him a method of healing his ADC and shielding him twice.

If you're in melee range, yes. Its tricky cause you have to walk up first since he'll just auto at max range otherwise.

The isn't how it works.

It is only a change in animation; his autoattack is still considered ranged.

I'm not raging at people building relic on thresh, but I think it's not good for him, if you want to give someone armor you can buy item 3190

Before the amulet changes, Thresh players had no choice but to take Relic.

Now these days, it's forgiving to have the amulet on Thresh since it gives him armor to make up for the lack of it he can't scale.

Well both are acceptable tank items giving you health also one give you not just magic resist but an aura magic resist buff to your hole team plus a double shield oh my gawd :o. I don't get what your problem is with this item its a good item it has a built in gold generator and it scream im going to be a tank when I grow up.
