When I see a Thresh with Relic Shield

he's supposed to build relic shield...

You have a right to think thresh is better suited with something else and build him that way if it works for you!

I think Relic Shield and Ancient Coin are both good choices. Personally I always buy coin on Thresh.

I agree with OP for the simple fact that 85% of my Thresh supports can't last hit and make me miss cs trying lol.

It isnt a bad item on him tbh

Well both are acceptable tank items giving you health also one give you not just magic resist but an aura magic resist buff to your hole team plus a double shield oh my gawd :o. I don't get what your problem is with this item its a good item it has a built in gold generator and it scream im going to be a tank when I grow up.

Before the amulet changes, Thresh players had no choice but to take Relic.

Now these days, it's forgiving to have the amulet on Thresh since it gives him armor to make up for the lack of it he can't scale.
