That guy possibly could have saved himself by buying chain mail before it hit him

That is the weirdest counterplay I can think of

Laughing Fish6 votes

It is Ult, not Ulti.

Bisexual Kindred19 votes

i dont know what your talking about :3

Laughing Fish4 votes

People who say Ulti are the Teemos of the real world.

Bisexual Kindred18 votes

:O but, but you just said it o.o

MacDthree31 votes

"Ultimate" is actually the word... so Ulti is just as acceptable as Ult... they are both just short versions of the same word. now people that say "turrent" instead of Turret can fall down a well

Laughing Fish2 votes

But the word is pronounced All-Ta-met. So the I in ulti (All-tee) makes a sound not used in the word. Ult (Alt) makes the same sound used when saying the full word.

/ˈʌltəmɪt/

Laughing Fish2 votes

What are we, British?

aaronautumn1 votes

idk, ur pronunciation is weird to me. what state r u from?

Laughing Fish2 votes

Florida. And yes, we pronounce things weird. There are just so many different cultural influences in Florida.

aaronautumn1 votes

is it true that there are a lot of old people there?

Laughing Fish1 votes

Yeah, in parts. Often times just outside big cities there are a lot of retirement parks and villages. There are a surprising number of retired Canadians who come to Florida for the colder months lol. But they still stay in Canada for at least 6 months, because supposedly the health insurance is a lot better there, but the weather and housing is better here lol.

MacDthree6 votes

have never once heard somebody say "alltumate" it's nat a Nissan Altima. it's "ultimate" Ul. Ti. Mat. the word doesn't start with an A

Laughing Fish3 votes

Yeah, but the way it pronounced (at least in Florida, with our strange mix of Southern and Northern) sounds similar to an A. All-Ta-Mit.

MacDthree7 votes

but you want people to stop saying "ulti" because of how Florida mispronounces a word?

Laughing Fish3 votes

I would hardly say I am mispronouncing it. When you listen to people on youtube, twitch, etc., they often pronounce it the same way unless they are Northern or European.

MacDthree5 votes

this is seriously the most retarded argument I have ever had in my entire life. have a good day.

Laughing Fish1 votes

Well, that was rude. And here I thought we were having a pleasant conversation.

I live in Texas and everyone I know here pronounces the word 'ultimate' like 'ull-ta-mitt'

Then again, Texas is a weird place.

here is how you actually break it down.

Yorukin1 votes

And yet you yourself just misspelled "turret". Pronounced the same, but, um... Yeah. Long as we don't start calling it a Tourette we're good.

Laughing Fish1 votes

While "Turrent" is clearly incorrect, it certainly sounds that way when pronounced (at least in Florida). You basically have to pronounce the rest of the word as if there was an "N", but stop just short of actually pronouncing the N.

Chaotic Reks5 votes

my dad says "turrent" and i want to punch him EVERY DAMN TIME

Treyen1 votes

then why don't you? coward. scared of the old man. better be scared, cause he will dive your turrent, if you get what I'm gettin at.

Chaotic Reks1 votes

he can bench press twice my weight...

Treyen1 votes

he will bench press all your turrents

2OmnkAKGi93 votes

This is my biggest gaming pet peeve, my friends all say it, and I believe it's a cultural thing. But even so, it's spelt turret in game. I've never had something grind my gears more than this.

MacDthree2 votes

I was really expecting the "my friends all say it. Said it. They're gone now."

The Lexer2 votes

Thats not even the worst. Back in my halo days (years ago) I used to play with my friends and some of them would say "responded" instead of "respawned" (respawneded, technically. So annoying. You're adding an -ed to a word that already has -ed. It would be like saying I just posteded on Boards
