Hunter hunter is a show I like.
Hunter x Hunter. One of best anime
Trust me there are things you should never google about Rengar skins...
Of course you would know
: ^) I know far too much... Please cleanse my mind...
Hunter x Hunter isn't terrible, at least. Not ground-breaking but definitely not the worst.
I'm honestly surprised it has an anime now considering how old the manga is.

Parasyte is a good example of a really old manga getting a recent anime, too.
This is true. I wonder if they've just run out of ideas for standalone anime?

The way I see it, it's a much better business plan to see something that's popular, and then make an adaptation of it. I mean Shiki as an example is an incredible anime, but it kinda just fell through the cracks... It was ripped from a book and so it didn't really draw a big audience that good exposure (Like previous Manga) would bring.
This started becoming very common after Attack on Titan, i've noticed. It happened before, but not as often. Now it's happening like 5 times each season. Let's see... Last season and this season (Don't know for sure) Parasyte, Re;Zero, One Punch Man, the new Berserk. Those are all that I can pick out, but as you can see it's a lot for two seasons, just 4 is a high number for Anime/Manga adaptations.
TLDR; It's safer financially to animate an Anime for an already existing fan-base, especially when it carries the potential to become basically globally known like AOT (Even if I personally believe AOT is severely over-rated.)
That makes sense. But these were works from a good while ago if I'm not mistaken. Maybe it's because these works are either done or so far into their story that an anime doesn't have to worry about filler arcs (which are often hated by the fanbase).
Well Hunter x Hunter isn't "recent" considering its 2011 version is just a remake of when it started in 1999. And I'm at like episode 70 of 2011 so... its not bad.
Oh right. Dubbing rights take a while.
That's why you watch sub :^)
Unless its Death Note, FMA/B, Gurren Lagann, Trigun .... I thought those were fine.
