I chose my main at lvl 16, when I said, "who looks cool? OOOOOOHHHH bird. Bird is cool. I play bird now."

I had chosen anivia, and I still play her today (I have almost hit 200k mastery with her, I love her so much)

You could do something similar - just look around until you can find yourself the coolest champion, or a waifu, or whatever. Then get gud with him/her/it

I mained Ashe for a while, then moved onto Tryndamere, Jinx, pre rework Quinn, then became a jack of trades. Right now I've been liking the adc class with Graves and Caitlyn. I don't know where I will go from here, but I'm sure I'll find a main someday.

You dont NEED to find a main. Just be proficient with the game and how to play it and by extension the champions within it.

I hope i dont get hate for saying. Not saying its not fine to find a particular champion you can focus on, but theres too much emphasis on being a main of something to be good over just being proficient and consistent with overall play.
